Your job

The world of Financial Economic crime (FEC) is a rapidly developing area which is daily mentioned in the headlines of every global newspaper. The tooling supported in the applications owning department of ABN AMRO’s FEC area are contributing at adhering sanctions, for example actively following the Russian Shadow fleet and raising risks related to illicit activities of vessels. In this environment you will be responsible for making sure that several type of applications are raising triggers regarding Sanctions and Sanctions Evasion risk. Also you will be actively communicating with vendors supplying the applications. As an IT engineer within the Sanctions domain, you will also play a key role in strengthening the robustness of the SaaS applications. You will work on the reliability of data flows and management information from this SaaS applications, implement the ABN AMRO security standards and regularly follow up with vendors about new features and implementations.

Working environment

You will be a part of the Client Filtering team within the Detecting Financial Crime Grid (DFC) grid in the IT Value cluster. You will be integral part of a larger team of product owners, business developers, IT lead & chapter leads and IT engineers in the framework of Agile DevOps way of working. Based in Amsterdam Bijlmer location, our team thrives on collaboration and innovation, with English as the primary language. Your profile

You feel at home in a technical environment and are always up to date on the latest technologies. Do you think you're a fit? Check your profile:Our ideal candidate will have:

  • At least 5+ years of experience within IT
  • Knowledge of the Financial Economic Crime (FEC) area, specifically knowledge about Sanctions processes and application is a pre.
  • Experience in working in an Agile environment
  • Experience with working with Agile tooling (Azure DevOps, Azure testplan, etc)
  • Experience with ITIL

Nice to have:

  • Experience with Databricks
  • Experience with implementing security standards (e.g. Single Sign On)
  • Knowledge of incident management and operations (e.g. ServiceNow)

Soft Skills:

  • English proficiency
  • Good communication (being able to update status of user stories and explain changes to stakeholders in business language)
  • Proactive mindset
  • Result driven (focus on adding value instead of completing pre-defined task)
  • Flexibility (switching between focus areas in the FEC Sanctions domain)

We are offering
