At a glance

Join ABN AMRO’s Voice of the Customer team and help shape how millions of customers experience our digital services. As a IT Engineer, you’ll configure and extend the SaaS solution Qualtrics within the feedback ecosystem of the bank. You’ll work at the heart of customer experience innovation, collaborating with an energetic, multi‑disciplinary team while elevating your craft and sharing your expertise along the way.

Your job

In this role, you’ll take ownership of configuring, maintaining, and continuously improving our Qualtrics SaaS implementation, driving real impact in how customer feedback is captured and used across the bank. Beyond working on user stories inside the SaaS platform, there is also some lightweight web development work - customizing survey template components and workflows with CSS and JavaScript, and working on connections and integrations. We are looking for an IT Engineer who worked on the configuration of SaaS applications in the past, enjoys collaboration, and is able to gather requirements and translate them into innovative solutions in an iterative (Agile/DevOps) way.

Important: The main focus of the role is on the configuration and maintenance of the SaaS application. In that sense it not a full development role. We do not develop the SaaS application, but we implement and customize it within the feedback ecosystem of the bank. It will involve some lightweight web development work, but the focus is on the configuration and maintenance of the Qualtrics SaaS application.

Working environment

You’ll join the Voice of the Customer team, part of the Customer Insight & Hyper‑personalisation Grid. Our mission: Make digital banking effortless, personal and meaningful. Customer feedback is a crucial ingredient to achieve this. Within our grid, we work with several SaaS applications such as Qualtrics, Selligent, Microsoft Dynamics, Tealium, and Google Analytics. The Voice of the Customer team is a small, energetic, and highly collaborative group. It brings together IT Engineers who manage and configure Qualtrics, researchers who turn feedback into actionable insights, and data analysts who ensure the right customers receive the right surveys. Your work will be tightly connected to all of them. We work together in the office for one or two days per week. The other days you can work from home if you want.

Your profile

  • SaaS Expertise: Proven experience in the configuration of SaaS solutions, and the seamless integration with other systems.
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of REST APIs, web services, databases, and Git.
  • Web development: Experience with web fundamentals like HTML, CSS, JavaScript. Knowledge of modern frameworks like Vue.js. is a plus.
  • Agile Methodology: Experienced in Agile/DevOps ways of working and iterative delivery.
  • Requirement Gathering: Able to gather requirements, break down complex problems, and turn them into structured user stories.
  • Troubleshooting: Comfortable troubleshooting issues across systems.
  • Communication: Clear communicator; comfortable aligning business and IT through workshops or stakeholder sessions.
  • Attitude: Proactive, innovative, eager to test and learn, data-driven, eager to proactively share knowledge, and committed to continuous improvement.
  • Customer Experience: Affinity with customer experience and feedback tooling is a plus.

We are offering

As an IT Engineer in our grid, you are given many opportunities. You can showcase your professional skills in a no-nonsense environment.

We also offer you:

  • Excellent salary *
  • 25 vacation days based on 40 hours (with an optional 14 days extra)
  • Personal development budget of € 1,000.00 per year (next to training to keep your knowledge and certifications up to date)
  • Benefit budget of 11% (of your salary). You can choose how you want this to be paid out. For example, as extra holiday allowances, a lease bike, or as salary
  • Banking for better days. These are days you can work on your personal development or contribute to society
  • Good set of facilities for remote working. Good to know, we have adopted a hybrid model of working with 2-5 office days
  • Solid pension plan that will set you up for the future

* You are hired in ABN AMRO-scale 10. Classification is based on your experience, skills and a benchmark among colleagues (equal pay).
