Android Developer
Are you an experienced Android Developer passionate about building high‑quality mobile experiences that directly impact how clients manage their investments?We’re looking for a senior Android engineer to strengthen our Digital Channels teams, working across Private Banking International (Germany, France, Belgium) and the Personal Banking NL mobile apps.
You will build and evolve the full suite of investment functionalities—from portfolio overviews and insights, reporting, and overall customer experience. Together, we bring ABN AMRO’s promise of being a personal bank in a digital age to life.
As a Senior Android Developer, you will:
- Design, build, and maintain investment‑related features in our native Android apps for both PBI and PB NL clients.
- Work in a multidisciplinary DevOps team alongside iOS, Front‑end web, Back‑end, QA, and Reliability engineers.
- Contribute to modular architecture, code quality, and long‑term maintainability.
- Own end‑to‑end delivery using Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and our CI/CD pipelines.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, UX designers, and business stakeholders to shape digital investment journeys.
- Participate in the Android Chapter, where all teams align on standards, tooling, innovation, and technical direction.
- Drive innovation: propose improvements, introduce new tooling, refactor legacy components, and shape our long‑term technical landscape.
You help ensure that investors—across multiple countries and profiles—experience seamless, secure, and intuitive digital interactions.
You will join ABN AMRO Wealth Grid (Investments Self Services super block), operating in an international, English‑speaking environment.
- We follow the SCRUM methodology with two‑week sprints.
- Hybrid working: typically 1–2 days in the office per week, balancing focus and collaboration.

- 10+ years of Android development experience
- Advanced Kotlin expertise
- Deep experience with modular architecture
- Strong understanding of Jetpack Compose
- Solid knowledge of testing practices (unit, UI, integration)
- Experience building secure, high‑traffic production apps
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to coach and support other developers in the team
- Curious mindset with a drive for innovation and modernization
- Experience with investment or finance‑related domains
- CI/CD experience (Azure DevOps, etc.)
- Experience with Firebase, Hilt, or other DI frameworks
- Knowledge of accessibility standards
- Experience in international or multi‑market app development
