Your work

We are looking for a Senior Business Developer within the Onboarding superblock. This team is responsible for the management, digitalisation, and oversight of processes and customer journeys that welcome new customers to ABN AMRO. As a Senior Business Developer, you will lead and manage execution of key improvements to onboarding processes & journeys, mentor team members, and shape the onboarding experience for a wide range of clients.As a Senior Business Developer in the Onboarding superblock, you will:

  • Manage end-to-end customer processes and journeys, ensuring that all necessary guidelines, standards, and operational procedures (SOPs) are in place to improve customer service and meet regulations.Continuously improve end-to-end process and journey performance (e.g., downtime, lead time, conversion), customer satisfaction (NPS), and cost efficiency.
  • Lead and deliver process and journey improvement projects, focusing on harmonization and digitalization.
  • Oversee value chain management to monitor and adjust end-to-end process and journey performance.
  • Engage and coordinate (senior) stakeholders across the end-to-end process chain to ensure cooperation, drive execution, and achieve results.
  • Analyse process and journey data to identify opportunities for improvement and provide actionable insights for decision-making.
  • Act as the link between business stakeholders and IT teams. Collaborate with IT teams to define detailed business (why and what) and functional (how) requirements, create user stories, and support development.
  • Plan and conduct tests of banking systems and applications to ensure they meet requirements. Prepare test plans, execute tests, and report findings.
  • Guide and coach junior team members to enhance their professional growth and improve their work effectiveness.

To support this, the Generic Customer Processes (GCP) Grid has been introduced within the Customer Data Solutions (CDS) organization, officially launching on September 2nd, 2025. This grid integrates end-to-end business processes, customer journeys, and application ownership under a unified mandate. Its mission is to enhance and digitalize these processes and journeys, delivering exceptional customer experiences while advancing the bank's strategic goals.The GCP is part of CDS, which serves as the bank’s central hub for high-quality, easily accessible customer and party data tailored to commercial and regulatory needs. By combining ownership of data, processes, and supporting applications, CDS aims to simplify and optimize the customer landscape, creating a foundation for enhanced customer value.At CDS, the focus is on curiosity, collaboration, clear communication, and delivering outstanding results. Your profile

You are a proactive leader with strong analytical, comfortable working with data and dashboard and organizational skills, known for your independence and reliability. Goal-oriented and detail-focused, you turn ideas into solutions while driving continuous improvement. A natural collaborator, you thrive on teamwork and multitasking, delivering results with a positive and pragmatic approach.Requirements:

  • A relevant bachelor's or master's degree in Business Administration or a comparable field.
  • 7+ years of experience in business process management, change management, and/or operational excellence.
  • A commercial mindset with knowledge of the importance of onboarding in the bank’s strategy.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to quickly grasp complex topics.
  • Skilled in managing senior stakeholders and navigating organizational dynamics.
  • Affinity with leading complex digital transformation trajectories and experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Ability to analyse requirements and translating them into clear user stories.
  • Notable experience in coaching of junior- & medior colleagues.
  • Proficient in English and Dutch.

  • The gross monthly salary (min. Eur 7.048 – max. Eur. 10.068) is based on a 36-hour work week, including vacation pay and benefit budget. A 40-hour work week is also possible. Salary determination and salary level is based on the knowledge, experience and potential you bring.
  • The Benefit Budget is 11% of your salary. The Benefit Budget allows you to acquire additional employment benefits. If you make no purchases or reservations in the Benefit Shop in a given month, you are paid one twelfth of your Benefit Budget that month.
  • Five weeks of vacation per year. You have the option to purchase an additional four weeks per year.
  • Personal development Budget of € 1,000 per year, which you can accumulate up to € 3,000.
  • Possibility to work from home (in consultation with your team).
  • An annual public transport pass with free public transportation throughout the Netherlands.
  • An excellent pension scheme.
