Communications Expert Clearing

You design a clear view and plan on how to position Clearing and its ambitions internally and externally. You research and assess the client or employee experience and come up with points of improvement. You then translate these into concrete working methods that can be acted on by the team.
What's more, you:
- Advise and challenge managers and project managers on marketing & communications and train them to be effective communicators.
- Collaborate with ABN AMRO Bank communications departments and the other Clearing offices where necessary.
- Design and execute globally aligned communication plans to support the brand and strategy of Clearing.
- Create content for owned channels such as intranet, website, and LinkedIn.
- Manage global communications projects and themes such as the strategy, sustainability, Annual Report, Client Survey, Industry events and IT.
- Design and prepare communications and assets in the EX/CX journeys.
ABN AMRO Clearing is a relatively unknown business to consumers, it plays a crucial part in the global financial markets. In banking, Clearing denotes all activities post buying or selling of, for example stock on the exchange, until it is settled. We act as an intermediary between clients and the exchanges these clients trade on. From 11 offices across the world, with around 1100 colleagues, we process an average of 30 million transactions a day. We do so for professional traders, investment managers and large corporates. Given the high demands of our clients and highly volatile market, the work is ever-changing and allows you to learn a lot in a short period of time. The Global Corporate Communications department is known as the conscience of Clearing, we act as the eyes and ears to ensure a timely and correct information flow towards all employees and or clients. In a small but agile team, we work closely with senior management and therein take a strategic and advisory role. This demands a high level of professionalism and accuracy from the team. The team also plays a key role in global engagement and culture change. To ensure alignment with the ABN AMRO strategy and the one bank story, the team liaises with the ABN AMRO Brand & Communications teams as well as the regional/business line communications colleagues.
The Global Corporate Communications team is part of the Clearing Corporate Office, a multidisciplinary team based in Amsterdam, consisting of the Corporate Secretariat, Corporate Communications, Regulatory Affairs, and the Client Contracting Unit. The Corporate Office supports and advises the Management Board, Supervisory Board and Global Management Team on all strategic, organisational, and business-related issues to enhance their effectiveness.
You are an enthusiastic communications professional with a hands-on mentality. You have a passion for storytelling and story design. You understand the digital world and think in terms of what’s possible. You show initiative, have an eye for detail and can work autonomously. Demonstrable knowledge of or affinity with socials and design is considered a plus.
Furthermore, you have:
- A bachelor's degree in a marketing and/or communications
- 5 years of experience in (corporate) communications preferably in an international setting
- Knowledge of digital channel management, project and event management, content creation and communication tools.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proficiency in Dutch and English (both oral and written)
