Solutions Engineer

With roots in The Netherlands and deep experience working with tier-1 institutions, Akkuro blends cutting-edge cloud-native architecture with implementation craftsmanship and relentless customer obsession.
We’re now on a mission to scale internationally. We’re building our Solutions Engineering capability—and you’ll be the very first to join . This is not just a job. This is a founding opportunity.
The Mission
As our Principal Solutions Engineer, you’ll spearhead how prospects and partners experience Akkuro’s composable tech stack. You’ll be the lead solution engineer in deals that matter—translating strategic objectives into sharp, modular banking solutions. Whether it's a complex SME lending platform in Thailand or a savings transformation journey in Vietnam, your role is to design it, validate it, and win hearts and minds along the way.
Expect to engage with CIOs, solution architects, and digital execs at banks and partners like Backbase, Accenture, or Microsoft. You'll educate, design, and evangelize. And as our first SE, you’ll help lay the foundation for our entire presales & solutioning function.
- A solution engineer at heart, fluent in the language of both bankers and engineers.
- You feel comfortable in solutioning client demands, you speak DMU's language: winning their hearts and trust.
- 5+ years (at minimum) in the banking tech space (e.g. lending, core banking, digital banking, KYC) - ideally in presales, consulting, or enterprise architecture.
- Skilled in modern cloud-native architectures and integration landscapes (REST APIs, microservices, event-driven design, containerization).
- Familiar with banking platforms (e.g. Temenos, Mambu, Backbase, Thought Machine, nCino and the likes) and know what sets Akkuro apart.
- Entrepreneurial DNA - you love building from scratch, adapting fast, and wearing multiple hats.
- Comfortable navigating multi-cultural, multi-stakeholder environments.
- Open to travel across EMEA and Asia—platinum frequent flyer status optional, but likely.
