Investment Manager - Sustainable Impact Fund (Amsterdam)

As Investment Manager, you’ll be providing growth-capital to high-growth maturing sustainable companies, domiciled in North-West Europe, focused on the transition of the consumer value chains such as Food and other FMCGs. You will be part of the Sustainable Impact Fund and responsible for all activities related to origination, execution of investments, portfolio management and the exit of portfolio companies. You will be one of the experts in our strategic focus area: Sustainable Consumption.
The ABN AMRO Sustainable Impact Fund is one of the largest private impact funds in the Netherlands and invests in companies that have a positive impact on climate and society while targeting healthy returns. With a commitment of EUR 500m and a diverse team of 14 people, we invest in a sustainable future and work with our portfolio companies to realise their fullest impact and financial potential.
The ideal candidate for this position has a passion for sustainability and investing in an international environment, in particular impact investing. He/she has a university degree experience in a relevant field.
• Between 5 to 8 years of prior work experience in venture capital, private equity, corporate venturing, investment banking and / or entrepreneurial experience
• Seasoned investor. Experience in the transition towards sustainable consumption, supporting companies that prioritize sustainable materials, ingredients and production. Focus on use, reuse and design of consumer goods
• Strong strategic and tactical skills in investments/private equity, deal analysis, negotiations, and the management of advisors. Can independently play a leading/ principal role during transactions
• Attention to detail to make sure all legal and financial matters are handled with precision
• Naturally connects and builds strong relationships with others, demonstrating strong emotional intelligence and an ability to communicate clearly and persuasively
• Entrepreneurial and creative way-of-working and open-minded to innovative ideas and trends
• High degree of integrity and the ability to act in a transparent and consistent manner while always taking into account what is best for the organisation and the team
• Self-reflective and aware of their own limitations. Leads by example and drives the team’s performance with an attitude of continuous improvement by being open to feedback and self-improvement
• A clear alignment with the impact goals of SIF and a belief in entrepreneurship and innovation as solutions to environmental issues
• Encourages others to share the spotlight and visibly celebrates and supports the success of the team.
- The gross monthly salary displayed above is based on a 36-hour work week, including vacation pay and benefit budget.
- The Benefit Budget is 11% of your salary. The Benefit Budget allows you to acquire additional employment benefits. If you make no purchases or reservations in the Benefit Shop in a given month, you are paid one twelfth of your Benefit Budget that month.
- Five weeks of vacation per year. You have the option to purchase an additional four weeks per year.
- Personal development Budget of € 1,000 per year, which you can accumulate up to € 3,000.
