Digital Workplace is responsible for the Modern Digital Workplace within ABN AMRO (28.000+ seats). We operate from the Netherlands and have our business users both inside and outside the Netherlands. We deliver not only the workplace devices but also a full suite of functionality to the standard workplace. The workplace is prepared for the new way of hybrid working that ABN AMRO wants to embrace as the new way of working looking forward. We enable and support our business users to work faster and smarter, we do this with an active adoption team that educates business users to be efficient and use the full potential of the Modern Digital Workplace. Microsoft 365 is one of the primary enablers of our workplace infrastructure.

Your job

The Microsoft 365 (M365) DevOps platform team is responsible for supporting the M365 platform end-to-end. Our Platform Engineers are specialists that configure the platform, implement and enable new functionality based on our roadmap and business needs. General knowledge of Microsoft Entra & M365 is a must for all Platform Engineers. As a team we are also responsible for the Operational aspect of the services we provide. In this role you will work closely with level 1 & 2 support, if they are unable to resolve the incident or problem (each within their own expertise) the task will need to be resolved by the level 3 teams and this is where you will come into play.  You will also be jointly responsible for the solution (architecture), roadmap & implementation of new functionality and governance tools and measures that will be developed handed over to the level 2 team that manages governance & support within our team.

The M365 Development & Operations team consist of about 15 FTE (and growing), they work closely together end-to-end according to the Agile DevOps concept. Every member has his/her own expertise covering the wide range of functionality & applications provided via M365. This means that you will have the opportunity to explore outside your comfort zone and educate yourself in other specialities or competences.

Opportunity and job requirements

Within ABN AMRO we are expanding the Microsoft 365 (M365) platform to support the business users in various areas, based on their use cases, requirements and expectations. As we accelerate on this journey, we require clear architecture, well defined solutions and (operational) governance in place to support the development and use of our platform. As an M365 platform team we are responsible for supporting the development, growth of the platform and the platform governance.

Within the M365 DevOps team, you are an overall generalist, and have knowledge about the M365 platform, PowerShell and automation knowledge, but can also connect with other teams responsible for Microsoft Defender, Purview, Power Platform, etc.

Your work can result into joint-team projects with other parts of the organization that tap into the breadth and depth of your expertise. As a technical expert, you are an assertive Team player that is seen as a Trusted Advisor, you are comfortable with describing rational decisions and be able to present these to management.

We are looking for you if you have proven technical skills within the M365 product suite and you have helped other companies excel on their M365 journey.

The job requires the following skills and experience:
• Minimum of 5 years of experience and broad knowledge on M365
• Deep (administrator level) knowledge in several of the following core M365 products: Teams, Outlook, Exchange, SharePoint Online
• Knowledge of PowerShell scripting and Azure pipelines
• Knowledge about Entra ID & Identity and Access management concepts
• Experience in working in a large and/or complex organization
• Able to communicate with solution architects, IT specialists and business users
• Able to write and speak in English and Dutch

We are offering

• The gross monthly salary displayed above is based on a 36-hour work week, including vacation pay and benefit budget.
• The Benefit Budget is 11% of your salary. The Benefit Budget allows you to acquire additional employment benefits. If you make no purchases or reservations in the Benefit Shop in a given month, you are paid one twelfth of your Benefit Budget that month.
• Five weeks of vacation per year. You have the option to purchase an additional four weeks per year.
• Personal development Budget of € 1,000 per year, which you can accumulate up to € 3,000.
