Business Developer
ABN AMRO Asset Based Finance N.V. (ABF) is a subsidiary of ABN AMRO Bank. ABF is made up of two leading asset based finance providers, ABN AMRO Lease and ABN Commercial Finance and employs around 750 employees. Primarily based in the Netherlands, with offices in the UK, Germany, and France it offers clients asset based lending expertise and provides flexible funding solutions whilst maximizing working capital availability. Specializing in refinancing or recapitalization, acquisition finance, asset based finance and finance growth, ABF also aims to help customers finance sustainable assets and projects to support growth and innovation.
Within the Software Engineering (SE) department, we are organized as Agile / Scrum teams, moving towards DevOps. As Business Analyst, you will take part in one of these teams in the Generic domain, specific in de Application Support team. Within your team, you will work closely together with software engineers and Product Owner. You will have direct contacts with both business compliancy and security people from the ABF organization, ABN AMRO as well as external contacts.
Key objectives for the Business Analyst:
- Define true requirements based on interviews with business and/or IT and data stakeholders, in close cooperation with Product Owner
- Analysis of requirements and determination of impact
- Translation of requirement to produce product configuration or to items that need to be developed
- Participate in the process of harmonizing processes across countries
- Provide training and support
- Handle requests of our stakeholders related to information and support and SME for data request.
Within ABN AMRO Asset Based Finance we have our own Software Engineering (SE) department which consists of approximately 150 FTE. This SE department is organized in Agile / Scrum development teams (moving towards DevOps), of which most are located in the Netherlands (Utrecht).
You will be working in a team (consisting in average of 6 to 9 persons, location Utrecht, spoken language mainly English) which is responsible for maintenance and further developments of the applications needed for our proposition. The team works closely together with the business and other stakeholders the vendors and other teams within Software Engineering and Platform & Technology . Within ABF we implemented the hybrid way of working, with the expectation to work at the office on the average of 2 days a week.
Professional
- Minimal required education and work level: Bachelor’s degree/HBO with Experience in IT
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the role of business analyst in a similar environment
- Professional communication skills, both spoken and written, in English and Dutch
- Knowledge and experience with Agile / Scrum
- Experience in projects of process harmonization and product rationalization
- Knowledge and experience in the Financial Industry / Banking sector
- Knowledge of lease and commercial finance products and processes (data management related) is a bonus
