Your job

As Business Lead of the Strategic Change & Portfolio Management Department you are the guardian of the vision of the Finance & Risk Data Domain. You ensure that this vision is clear enough, translated to an actionable strategy and supported by clear architecture. You ensure that the portfolio of work in the Domain is managed and that there is a good understanding of the internal and external developments that will impact the Finance & Risk Data Domain. This includes the latest developments in the areas of Data Management and Regulatory requirements that impact Finance & Risk Data. For the latter BCBS239 requirements are the primary driver for our vision, but you also have a good understanding of the broader regulatory playing field that impact Finance & Risk Data such as e.g. Basel IV, EBA LOM, ECB Guide on Climate-related and Environmental risks, etc. You manage a team of professionals that drive the change or support the department. You seek alignment with other stakeholders in Risk Management, Finance, the Business Lines, Enterprise Architects and IT. In addition, you have an advisory role towards various Finance and Risk Management Stakeholders on EXBO -1 level.

Working environment

The Finance & Risk Data Domain is part of Finance & Risk Business Grids (F&RBG), and plays an active role for all the Finance and Risk departments. We employ 250+ international professionals with different backgrounds who are driven to bring risk data management to a structurally higher level. Our aim is to generate reliable Finance & Risk data on time. We do this by improving the data itself, data systems and data processes. We work with an Agile operating model. Our Finance and Risk Data Domain consists of 5 departments where the atmosphere is dynamic, open and informal.

The Strategic Change & Portfolio Management Department maintains the vision and the (IT, Data, Business) architecture of the F&R Data Domain. SC&PM supports the implementation of the vision of the domain. SC&PM is an important spider in the web when it comes to driving the overall portfolio of the domain, also in relation to the change portfolios of other departments that the Finance and Risk Data Domain has to deal with. SC&PM also supports the Domain by managing the budget, facilitating the Management Team of the Domain, ensuring management information of the department is up to par and providing secretarial support for the Data Domain Owner.

Your profile

We are looking for an experienced leader who has earned her/his spurs in the areas of Finance, Risk management, Change Management and/or Data management within a banking or financial organization or within consultancy in these areas. You follow the developments in the regulatory field the bank operates in. You have experience in building a team and subsequently leading that team by example. You are focused on collaboration, innovation and achieving goals and are an excellent communicator. You are data driven and innovative and you embrace the agile way of working.

  • You have successfully completed a higher professional education (HBO) or degree (WO) and at least 15 years of relevant work experience in the field of Finance and/or Risk Management, Data Management, Change Management.
  • You have experience in leading a team of professionals in a dynamic environment
  • You have knowledge of Data Management, Change Management or Organisational Development Best Practices
  • You have knowledge of the broad spectrum of regulatory (reporting) requirements that impact the Finance & Data data need.
  • You are a strong communicator with excellent stakeholder management;
  • You have advisory and implementation skills

We are offering

  • The gross monthly salary displayed above is based on a 36-hour work week, including vacation pay and benefit budget.
  • The Benefit Budget is 11% of your salary. The Benefit Budget allows you to acquire additional employment benefits. If you make no purchases or reservations in the Benefit Shop in a given month, you are paid one twelfth of your Benefit Budget that month.
  • Five weeks of vacation per year. You have the option to purchase an additional four weeks per year.
  • Personal development Budget of € 1,000 per year, which you can accumulate up to € 3,000.
  • Possibility to work from home (in consultation with your team and depending on your position).
  • An annual public transport pass with free public transportation throughout the Netherlands.
