We are Clients & Group Functions Accounting, a high performing team within Financial Accounting that is responsible for the accounting and reporting of the financials of ABN AMRO Mainbank’s client units and group functions. We have a pivotal role between our front office stakeholders and the financial chain that ultimately leads to ABN AMRO’s reporting of financial figures. You’ll manage and work together with a divers team of 10 highly qualified professionals. You are, together with the team, responsible for the accounting and IFRS reporting of all client units and group functions within the mainbank related IFRS reporting to external stakeholders (including amongst others IFRS Annual Accounts). In addition, you and your team are responsible to service internal stakeholders (amongst which internal controlling departments, management reporting and daily reporting to traders) and manage the various audit processes, with internal and external auditors, as well as audits performed by regulators like DNB and ECB.
IFRS Clients and Group Functions Accounting is part of Financial Accounting and consists of 10 colleagues. We are responsible for the entire internal and external IFRS reporting of the client units and group functions of ABN Amro mainbank. This includes the client units Personal & Business Banking, Wealth Management and Corporate Banking.
The team demonstrates strong attention to detail, meets deadlines consistently, collaborates effectively and possesses a deep understanding of complex financial transactions. Additionally, adaptability to changes in accounting regulations and a commitment to continuous improvement contribute to the team’s overall success. The department is currently implementing a new system environment, which leaves sufficient room for creativity and improvements.

You support the team with your knowledge and experience. You thrive in a continuously changing environment. You collaborate easily, have a positive attitude and a strong willingness to learn. In addition, you can relate to the following qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in a similar environment
- Fluent proficiency in Dutch & English
- Extensive experience in banking or financial services
- Masters degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Controlling or similar. Being a chartered Accountant or Controller (RA/ACCA/RC) is a plus
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, processes and standards
- Deep understanding of regulatory compliance in the financial industry (proven work experience with IFRS is a must)
- Effective communication and problem-solving abilities
- The gross monthly salary displayed above is based on a 36-hour work week, including vacation pay and benefit budget.
- The Benefit Budget is 11% of your salary. The Benefit Budget allows you to acquire additional employment benefits. If you make no purchases or reservations in the Benefit Shop in a given month, you are paid one twelfth of your Benefit Budget that month.
- Five weeks of vacation per year. You have the option to purchase an additional four weeks per year.
- Personal development Budget of € 1,000 per year, which you can accumulate up to € 3,000.
