Your job

As a BCBS239 Program Manager, you will be enabling our Finance & Risk stakeholders to execute and adopt BCBS239 & ABN AMRO Bank’s Data Management Framework. The purpose hereof is to contribute to having complete and fit-for-purpose data within the Bank, to improve Data Compliance for Finance & Risk Reports and Models, to be able to implement Data Quality on our most Critical Data Elements and to trace the Data Lineage of this Critical Data.

To ensure compliance with our Data Risk Policy and its standards, as well as the requirements outlined in BCBS239, you will need to follow centralized Data Governance processes. This includes creating detailed guidelines that are specific to the Finance & Risk architectural landscape. As the program manager, you will be responsible for leading the BCBS239 Program team, tracking and monitoring the implementation, ensuring constant alignment with Finance & Risk stakeholders, building Management Information Dashboards, and reporting to the Finance & Risk Management Teams as well as the Executive Board. Additionally, you will be expected to actively share knowledge about BCBS239 and the Compliant Data Management Way of Working.

You will directly contribute to the following deliverables:

  • Monitor the progress of the BCBS239 implementation, raise any issues or dependencies, and ensure that those responsible for taking action are held accountable.
  • Maintain a clean JIRA/Azure project management system.
  • Support the Finance and Risk stakeholders in the implementation of BCBS239 and collaborate with the Data Governance and Compliance Cluster execution teams.
  • Develop guidelines and templates to be used by the Finance and Risk stakeholders.
  • Report on the progress to the Management Teams, Executive Board, and the ECB-DNB.
  • Propose improvements to the compliant way of working and processes and implement them.
  • Provide knowledge-sharing sessions to the Finance and Risk stakeholders.

Working environment

The Finance and Risk Data Domain is a crucial part of the Finance and Risk Business Grids (F&RBG) and plays an active role in several Finance and Risk departments. Our team comprises of 250+ international professionals with diverse backgrounds who are dedicated to elevating data management within Finance and Risk to a higher level. Our primary objective is to produce accurate and reliable finance and risk data within the deadline. We achieve this by enhancing data quality, data systems, and data processes. We operate with an Agile model, and our Finance and Risk Data Domain comprises of five departments that foster a dynamic, open, and informal environment.

As a Program Manager, you will join the Data Governance and Compliance Department and be a part of the BCBS239 Program team. Your team will mainly comprise of driven professionals, and the atmosphere will be open and informal. We work hard, but there’s plenty of room for enjoyment!

Your profile

  • You have completed a BSc. degree (or higher) and bring 10+ years of relevant working experience.
  • You are experienced with Data Management (preferably BCBS239) and best practices (e.g., DAMA).
  • You have a proven track record in driving change as Program Manager, preferablly within the banking industry and complex setups.
  • You know how to make a strong presentation and work around with PowerPoint and Word.
  • Your proactive approach and stakeholder management skills enable you to effectively align diverse stakeholder perspectives, ensuring collective success.
  • You have strong English communication skills (knowledge of Dutch is an advantage).
