At a glance

The Value Proposition team is a key part of the Financial Risk Grid (200+ FTE). As a Team Lead Value Proposition team you, together with the Head Value Proposition team, manage a team of 15-20 experts that are responsible to optimise the change implementation for the Financial Risk grid. This is achieved through translating Finance and Risk related business- and regulatory requirements into concrete improvement proposals that can be executed by the different change teams. You actively monitor progress on the execution of the proposals and steer where necessary. You closely work together with stakeholders across the Bank including Client Units, Credit Risk, and Finance Reporting to develop strategies, interpret regulations and requirements, set priorities, and achieve tangible results.

Your job

As a team lead you manage part of the Value Proposition team with 7-10 FTE direct reports in the regulatory- and change implementation. You are the first point from the Financial Risk grid towards the rest of the organisation (Risk, Business units, IT), regarding required changes in business- and regulatory requirements.

Your key responsibility is to assess the impact of such changes, prepare implementation solutions, and are closely involved in the execution. These implementation solutions target the processes and applications supporting the Basel Chain, IFRS Chain, Stress Testing and the associatated calculators (models) for these three areas. You will be making strategic decisions without losing grip of the required day-to-day delivery. Your advices and deliveries directly affect the regulatory compliance, profitability and capital position of the Bank.

You contribute to realise the future Finance and Risk landscape so that we continuously improve the speed with which we can respond to requests from our Business stakeholders and Regulators. It is a widely defined role. Dependent on specific assignments, the scope of business advisory services provided by the team can vary between generic coordinating and in-depth specialisation.


As the VPT Lead for the Financial Risk grid you are responsible for:
• Responsible for the daily management of the VPT FR team that support change implementation for Basel Chain, IFRS Chain, model implementation, FR&R, CRM process.
• The VPT team members support the the Value Delivery Teams with solution designing of complex changes that cut across the value chain, working together with solution design and regulatory specialists in multiple fields in the value chain.
• You aim for balanced representation of the interests of the bank, supervisors and other stakeholders within the applicable processes and procedures, external legislation and regulations and internal policies.
• Linking pin between design and implementation by providing guidance to questions from implementing grids and programmes;
• In addition to your substantive tasks and responsibilities, you manage 15-20 (POs and Business Developers)
• You make decisions based on strategic banking interests without losing sight of the daily delivery (day to day decision-making).

Working environment

You operate within the Financial Risk Grid and are part of the grids leadership team; you report to the Grid Owner Financial Risk. Together with the GO FR, you represent the interests internally (MT Finance/Risk, CIO, DFC, DIAL, Business MTs, etc.) and externally (regulators). Together with your team you sculpt the future proof solutions for Financial Risk change implemention. The GRID consists of approx 200 colleagues, who all share the passion for continuously improving the compliance of financial risk deliveries. You also contribute to the medium and long term strategy for the Finance and Risk landscape. Since the department is in building-up phase, it is appreciated when you actively contribute to improving the way of working. Your profile

• Master’s Degree in Economics, Finance, Business administration, Exact sciences or comparable level;
• Experienced in interacting with various stakeholders across departments in the bank and senior management;
• You have good knowledge of credit risk and regulations, modelling, banking products, financial institutions and risk management and 8-12 years working experience in a banking environment;
• Proven experience and interest in Financial Risk processes and in leading support of the Financial Risk Processes and chains;
• Experience with managing team with experts;
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English;
• You are a enthusiastic, proactive, assertive and result driven team player, who can work independently and is able to translate strategic views and plans into concrete execution;
• Knowledge of regulatory compliancy requirements, Basel regulations, prudential reporting and/or RWA calculation, IFRS regulation.
