IT Platform Engineer (Middleware IBM WebSphere Engineer)

Within the team Middleware we are looking for a IBM Websphere ND and IBM Liberty expert to manage our on premise environment. You are working in an international oriented team with the mission to build and maintain our WebSphere and Liberty environments.

As a Websphere/Liberty expert you will be part of the middleware team in the PCS Products department. You will work closely with a lot of stakeholders within ABN AMRO together with the product owner and the middleware team which is mostly located in India. In this role we build and maintain the environment, work on projects and together with the PO, architects, vendors and the team to create a vision for a future proof platform.

You will work in an international oriented team mostly based in India. In the Netherlands you will work intensively with other teams within the Private Infrastructure Platform (PIP) department as well with other departments, for example CIO and CISO. We use Agile/Scrum as a method of organising our work. We work in a hybrid model which means we are working 60/40 from home/office. Traveling outside the Netherlands and working outside business hours might be required.

• 5+ years’ experience in managing IBM Websphere (and Liberty):
  • Java based applications
  • IBM HTTP Server
  • IBM MQ
  • Apache
  • TLS/SSL
• Extensive experience in Red Hat Linux, scripting, pipeline and networking technology
• Monitoring JVM performance
• Familiar with processes like security, Agile/Scrum way of working, ITIL, DTAP approach, Disaster Recovery
• Experience in IBM Urban Code Deploy, Ansible Tower, Java, OpenLiberty + Azure, Container technology (OpenStack, Kubernetes), IBM Instana, ServiceNow, Azure DevOps are a pré.
