Sustainability Reporting Expert
Be part of the sustainability transition of our customers by joining the young and fast growing Sustainability Risk, Reporting and Regulation team (RRR) within the Corporate Banking of ABN AMRO in Amsterdam. RRR has a central position within the organisation between internal/external stakeholders and the business. You will be working with multiple stakeholders (Finance reporting, IT/Data grids, Client units, Risk and Data providers) on implementation deliverables whilst regular reporting deadlines remain. You have a University masters degree and strong demonstrable affinity with DATA and SUSTAINABILITY. You enjoy to transform complex subject matter into logical and manageable process steps and have execution power. Finally, you want to develop yourself within the field of Sustainability in a constantly changing environment and be part of a young, ambitious team.
You will become part of the young and fast growing Risk, Reporting and Regulation team (RRR) of 9 team members within the client focused Corporate Banking's (CB) Sustainability Expertise Team (SET) in Amsterdam. RRR has a central position within the organisation between internal/external stakeholders and the business. The team has priorities on: 1. a continuous, timely reporting on correct sustainability data and KPI's, 2. sustainability advisory on risks and regulations towards management, corporate bankers and customers, 3. integrating sustainability in risk management and 4. co-facilitating the growth of the sustainable finance portfolio in the business. Additionally training of the business and the implementation of various ESG regulations are important activities of the team. Finally, the team is highly motivated on helping our customers make the sustainable shift as soon as possible towards being compliant with Sustainable Regulatory and be in control of Sustainable Risks.
You will support CB by a continuous, timely reporting on correct sustainability data and KPI's and to implement new ESG regulations by providing sustainable linked insights into the portfolio, help in the interpretation of ESG regulations for CB and translate this to business requirements. You will be working with multiple stakeholders (Finance reporting, Accounting, IT grids, Credit portfolio management, Client units, Risk, external vendors and data providers, for example) on implementation deliverables whilst regular reporting deadlines remain. Your main focus will be on quantitative disclosures, linked to the banks’ balance sheet, and the sourcing and structuring of data to meet these requirements. This includes internal, but also the sourcing of new client data. In addition you might also provide occasional support in Climate scenario analysis, ECB climate stress tests and various pilots. It is both a tactical and for sure 'hands-on' job, where sometimes you will think along with stakeholders by improving reporting standards/operating procedures and all the time be in control of the reporting requirements/deadlines.
We are looking for someone with strong demonstrable affinity with DATA and SUSTAINABILITY:
- Education - University Masters Degree (Sustainability - Information Science - IT - Law) or comparable level
- Experience - Minimum of 1 year experience in data analyses combined with Business/Sustainability/Risk Management/Finance processess, including knowledge of data/reporting applications (F.e. Azure, Excel, Power/SAS BI)
- Knowledge - Good understanding of financial institutions, sustainability regulations and risk management and knowledge on banking products, systems, work processes, data management.
- Skills - Proactive, flexible, positive attitude and be able to transform complex subject matter into logical and manageable process steps. Execution power and keen on improvements. Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
