Product Owner Data Platforms

As a Product Owner within Data Distribution platform you will be part of the Data Platforms within Platforms & Technology. Together with the IT Lead and other Product Owners (PO) you will translate the vision of the bank on rapid access to authorized data from data distribution platform, into concrete deliverables and guide the DevOps teams in order to maximize business value. Data is in the heart of everything. Therefore, providing seamless and stable data sourcing and consumption to our providers and consumers is key for ABN AMRO business. As a PO within Data Platforms, you together with other PO's are responsible for enabling off-the-shelf and governed data sourcing and consumption via the Data Query Layer (DQL), Batch (File consumption), streaming and API capabilities. You work closely with the PO’s within data platform and DIAL to create roadmap, vision on maturity and adoption of the platform. The teams are serving more than one hundred and eighty (180) providers of the data and two hundred (200) internal consumers with more than eleven thousand (11000) files on a daily basis.
Events and Streaming and API teams, we enable a highly available Kafka solution to support live data consumption needs. In this platform, we have producers and consumers exchanging thousands gigabytes of data in real-time, seven days a week.
You will be responsible for multiple teams which work directly with several business units and subsidiaries to fulfil use cases.
Platforms & Technology is ABN AMRO’s Internal (IT) Service Provider and delivers state of the art IT with optimal technology, easy to consume services, and end to end control & oversight.. P&T is a service-based organisation, providing IT to ABN AMRO employees and grids with reliable, in control, business-enabling, easily adaptable and future-proof IT platforms & technologies which can be consumed via self-service mechanism and allow a shorter time to market for (new) functionalities. To become a personal bank in a digital age all departments of Platforms & Technology do their part to deliver a future proof foundation for the IT landscape. The grid Data Platforms within P&T delivers the platform capabilities related to data distribution and analytics.
You are a practical thinker, a do-er, whose behavior reflects the culture principles of courage, care and collaboration. You have proven to be able to lead one or more teams as a Product Owner (or comparable role) within an agile working environment, managing multiple dependencies, risks and can create transparency towards stakeholders with realistic roadmaps. You can maintain a healthy balance between getting the most out of your team, without overpromising and based on that build a good relationship with your stakeholders.
This is on your resume:
- You have experience with implementing complex processes
- You are able to make choices and have proven a result-oriented approach; delivering results is your motivation
- You are comfortable aligning the product roadmap with technical inputs coming from Architects and Engineers
- You are a team player and can enthuse, assist and further develop your team
- Having an background in IT and/or data management in roles such as business analyst, business developer, program manager, product manager is a plus
- HBO / WO thinking and working level
- You master the English language in word and writing
