We are seeking a Data Analyst for the new BI & Analytics team in our product unit – Financing Solutions. The Financing Solutions (FS) product unit has end-to-end responsibility for delivering lending products to all client segments. It is like the engine room of lending and offers advice, monitors credit status and offers appropriate credit solutions. FS provides exposures of over one million euros of a credit advice.

The work of a Data Analyst includes building intuitive dashboards on a data mesh platform, provide management information for decision making, use advanced analytics techniques like forecasting and clustering to predict client behaviour and use data to automate controls and trigger credit risk modelling alerts. As Data Analyst, you will work on the Credit Domain Data Store containing billions of rows of data from multiple sources including transaction, credit and customer data. We are seeking a Data Analyst who is driven by curiosity and passionate about using this data to create solutions to business problems.

As a Data Analyst, you will work together with other data professionals and collaborate with a range of business partners in Financing Solutions to uncover new business opportunities by delivering data-intensive solutions that have a significant business impact. You will help drive commercial growth through the application of data analytics. You will play an impactful role in which you have a direct influence on how commercial bankers and lenders recommend suitable lending products for our corporate customers.

• Work on and possibly lead multiple projects together with other data analysts in the team
• Translate stakeholder questions to data analytics solutions
• Perform data analysis, develop dashboards/reports and create advanced data solutions on the Credit Domain Data Store
• Transform (internal and external) raw data into working data solutions in close collaboration with our data engineering team
• Articulate and present insights clearly to business partners in an intuitive manner
• Work closely with business partners to ensure that the teams are able to leverage data across Financing Solutions
• Support in setting up the new BI & Analytics team within Financing Solutions, which gives you the opportunity to really make your mark and have a high impact from the start

The new BI & Analytics team is a part of a broader department named Credit & Collateral Data Management and Strategy which is responsible for data quality, data integration & distribution and data analytics within Financing Solutions. Together we work on data projects focusing on customers who are corporations. We collaborate a lot and help each other with data challenges, we all are eager to learn and develop ourselves. We work hybrid, team members work at least one day per week from our headquarters in Amsterdam. As you will start in a new data team, there are possibilities to explore and develop yourself in other areas like data science and data engineering.

• A master’s degree in econometrics, mathematics, business analytics, data science, data engineering or a related field
• A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant working experience in a highly analytical environment, which can include data analytics, data engineering or data science
• Consultancy skills to advise stakeholders based on data-driven analysis
• Experience with data visualization (e.g. Power BI)
• Knowledge of data management (e.g. DAMA DMBoK)
• Knowledge of at least one major programming language (e.g. Python, R, Java)
• Experience in processing data for BI purposes: explore and integrate data, data modelling, data quality and analysis
• Preferred: Familiar with Power BI, Databricks and Microsoft Azure
