Your job

As Chapter Lead, you will combine working as an IT Engineer, with your role as Lead. About 60% of your time, you will work in your own block (DevOps Team) on refining, analysing, designing, developing/coding, testing, maintaining, and realizing good quality and future proof IT solutions. As a seasoned developer you feel at home in a challenging technical environment.
The remainder of the time you will manage your team. This includes:

  • Educating yourself and others with the right technical capabilities and the latest innovations.
  • Mentoring your Chapter members on technical craftsmanship.
  • Actively participating in knowledge gaining and sharing by joining triangles, circles, communities, and events.
  • Focussing on proper knowledge dissemination across the teams, pushing the limits of current stack and room for innovation on the backlog by discussing this with the Product Owners.
  • Working in a DevOps environment and advocating the Agile and CICD processes.
  • On a strategical level mentoring your team, evaluating technical assessments, doing interviews, and ensuring that new employees are properly onboarded.
  • Taking care of the HR processes to facilitate all aspects relating to the influx, development, performance and outflux of employees.
  • Creating and fostering a healthy working environment and a holistic culture for your Chapter.

As a Cloud Development Chapter Lead, we expect you to have:

  • A Developer mindset with problem solving ability.
  • Up to date knowledge of public cloud frameworks.

Your profile

You feel at home in a technical environment and are always up to date on the latest technologies. At the same time, you are people minded and a tactful inspirator. Furthermore, you constantly look to push the boundaries of new possibilities.

  • 8 to 12 years of IT work experience.
  • Exposure to cloud technologies with minimum 2 years of hands-on experience preferably on Azure.
  • Good technical understanding of API design, Microservices, Database design, Containerization, and other relevant concepts.
  • Technical skills:

- Proficient in programming language Java
- Framework Spring boot, spring cloud.
- CI/CD
- Monitoring tools
- Change management
- Good to have exposure to Kubernetes

  • You have experience with working in a DevOps team and possesses good interpersonal skills to get the best out of the team.
  • An initiative-taking mindset and you take responsibility.
  • A passion for experimentation and continuous improvement.
  • A curiosity for old and innovative technologies.
  • Proficient in the English language
