Senior Mendix Developer
As a senior Mendix developer, you will become a member of the Finance and Control block at ABN AMRO Clearing This Scrum team comprises skilled professionals from diverse international backgrounds. Your primary responsibility will involve collaborating with your team to establish a technical roadmap for the design, development, and maintenance of both new and existing Mendix applications.
Furthermore, you will play a crucial role in translating business requirements into technical specifications and leading the technical implementation in a manner that ensures future-proof and easily maintainable solutions.
In your daily work, you will collaborate with various individuals, including:
- The product owner, IT development engineers, and business developers within your team.
- Users of the applications you are working on.
- Specialists from the platform team who can assist you with middleware and database administration (DBA) related challenges.
- Your Chapter and other interesting colleagues in the it grid.
ABN AMRO Clearing is a subsidiary from ABN AMRO and has her own banking license (ABN AMRO Clearing Bank NV). Globally, you would be joining about 900 colleagues in a self-steering organisation with (of course) all the required training facilities available. From an IT perspective, you will be joining a GRID consisting out of 44 other blocks, each working with agile/scrum. Each of those blocks have their own specific focus, but regularly talk with each other to build the best possible applications.
Based on your knowledge and expertise, we have certain expectations from you:
- Developing and designing new Mendix applications.
- Maintaining existing Mendix applications.
- Developing and maintaining webMethods-based interfaces between Mendix applications and our core legacy systems.
- Testing your Mendix applications.
- Facilitating the deployment process.
- Collaborating on ideas and strategies for transitioning to the cloud.
- Contributing to discussions on introducing Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) practices.
Based on your role, we anticipate you to deliver the following key deliverables:
- New Mendix applications
- Maintenance of existing Mendix applications
- Life cycle management of the Mendix applications
- Documentation
- Automated tests
- Deployment runbook, test evidence, and business approval
We are seeking a skilled Mendix developer who possesses the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- A minimum of 5 years of proven experience in Mendix development
- Proficiency in Java programming.
- Familiarity with the financial domain and preferably with tax-related work.
- Excellent command of the English language, both spoken and written.
- Strong teamwork skills and a hands-on mentality.
- Strong communication skills
- Demonstrated strong analytical abilities.
