Platform Engineer

The ABN AMRO Clearing Private Cloud Platform block provides the strategic platform for containerisaton, automation, secure application development, CI/CD Pipelines and developer tooling to facilitate the strategic way of working within Clearing. Our application expertise includes Openshift, Ansible, Atlassian, Jenkins, Nexus, Sonarqube and more.

We are a global DevOps team that work within the Agile Scrum methodology to deliver our platform in as automated a way as possible and to ensure the platform is easy to consume. The team is highly skilled, customer focussed and driven to succeed in some very complex technologies.

The block sits within a Platform Grid which is headed by the CTO

We are looking for additional Platform Engineers with relevant skills, knowledge and experience that enjoy complex challenges and like helping customers to deliver their goals. They will help deliver compliant, reliable, flexible global solutions to meet the demands and service levels of the business, ensuring great performance of the environments.

The role is a permanent full-time role.

We are looking for Engineers to :

• Maintain and support the Private Cloud platforms, including the Container Management Platform and the CI/CD platforms
• Write and maintain automation scripts and configuration management tooling
• Implementation, development and support of new Platform solutions across business lines
• Embed security into the Platforms and ensure compliance with all bank policies and internal/external regulations
• Work with the architecture team to provide technical expertise to define and implement a global infrastructure to support existing and future projects
• Provide expertise to the Development Services team and teams within the Product Grid regarding the technology and it's usage, covering best practices for business solutions
• Act as a point of contact when dealing with third-party support, including escalating issues
• Liaise with global teams to ensure problems are resolved swiftly and satisfactorily
• Participate in High Availability and Disaster Recovery tests

We are looking for motivated team players with a professional approach and excellent communication skills

• 5+ years as a Platform Engineer working in a DevOps methodology
• Extensive experience with platform systems such as Openshift, Kubernetes, Docker and Ansible
• Experience working with Development CI/CD Pipeline technologies such as Jenkins, Nexus, Bitbucket and Sonarqube
• Scripting in Python/groovy/Bash
• Experience in change and project management concepts, including Agile/Scrum
• Strong communication skills with a variety of stakeholders across the globe
• Work as part of a global team distributed across multiple continents

• A salary in the range: € 5.174 - € 7.392 pm
