Backend Engineer Digital Banking

We are looking for a Backend Engineer with a strong technical background and a “can-do” mentality who is eager to further grow as an Engineer and join our Digital Channels Business and Wealth Grid. Our Grid is part of Digital Banking services that is responsible for creating the smoothest banking experience for our commercial and private clients.

Our teams are working on digital products and services we offer to commercial clients via Internet Banking Portals. Customer Portal Development, Payment solutions, Reporting Solution, Client Onboarding, Manage Customer Data, Sales & Service of products are some of the challenging projects teams work on.

The atmosphere within the team and the department is open and informal. You will work in a diverse team with many different nationalities, and a good gender diversity and junior-senior ratio.
We have a variety of communities and chapters where the knowledge is actively shared. Chapters are divided based on specialized skill area and you will be placed in one of the chapters. Chapters have chapter lead who will guide the chapter members to develop/enhance the skills, help with setting of development path and personal goals. You will be working on atleast one of the projects like Customer Portal Administration, Manage Customer Data, Become a Customer, Change of Directors etc. As a backend developer you will analyze, design, build, test and maintain the solutions. Your work area includes:
• Design & Develop APIs that are scalable and highly performant.
• Create and maintain application code.
• Produce robust code in the Azure Cloud.
• Work in a DevOps team with autonomy and participate proactively in team decisions.
• Work on the training and learnings path created as part of the chosen development plan.
• Collaborate with team members and share knowledge.
• Active participation in the relevant communities like Java, Azure etc.

Specialized Knowledge and Experience
• 7+ years of developing software in Java with an extensive proven experience with developing REST API (using microservices) and integrations with different systems.
• Hands-on experience with Spring, Spring Boot, JPA, Hibernate, JDBC, SOAP services, Rest APIs.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud and Azure DevOps.
• Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD), version control and release management.
• Experience with SQL and/or No-SQL.
• Experience in developing enterprise level web applications with demonstrable production-scale experience.
• Good experience with the Agile way-of-working.

• DevOps mindset with excellent debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Actively seeks help and feedback but is not afraid to give feedback either.
• Knowledge of the software development lifecycle including design, configuration, testing, debugging, implementation, and support of large-scale, business-centric, and process-based applications.
