The Product Unit Transaction Banking is the newly setup Product Unit that operates across the entire bank on all Transaction Banking related products. The Product Unit consists of the teams Transaction Banking Sales, Management & Control, and the grids Core Transactions, Transaction Services, Daily Banking. The subsidiaries ICS and ALFAM and joint ventures ABN AMRO Verzekeringen and EMS also report to the Product Unit Transaction Banking.

The Management & Control team (45fte) provides expertise and supports in beyond grid capabilities to the Product Unit. Management & Control consists of four separate teams, each team has its own area of expertise and capabilities. All four teams work closely together to ensure alignment on topics most relevant for the Product Unit and efficient use of resources. This vacancy is for a Domain Expert within our new Risk & Performance team, as part of the Management & Control team.

Your job

Risk & Performance enables the Transaction Banking Product Unit to be in control of the product portfolio by providing capabilities and expertise in the areas of first line risk, pricing, performance, control, regulatory management, talent & organisation and support. The team also delivers expertise and advise in the area of business control and regulatory management.

As Domain Expert, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Contribute to the objectives and key results that Management & Control wants to achieve, in alignment with the objectives of TB and the Client Units
  • Monitor developments in legislation and regulations and assess potential impact of changes on Transaction Banking in a timely manner.
  • Coordination of the Product Approval Review Process (PARP): proactively advising the product grids, delivering expertise on the PARP methodology, secretary of Global Product Approval Committee (GPAC), reporting to BRC/GRC on a quarterly basis
  • Operate as a linking pin between business and Regulatory stakeholders, such as the Regulatory Execution Team and the Regulatory Office
  • Monitoring risks and staying in control to ensure compliancy
  • Providing insight and reporting towards oversight units within the organisation

Working environment

As Domain Expert you are part of a dynamic team of ten professionals, from different backgrounds and nationalities. The team is headed by an Expert Lead. All team members have their own area of expertise, you work together on projects and change initiatives with colleagues both within Management & Control and within the broader scope of the Product Unit. The atmosphere is open and informal. Hybrid working is the norm, with attendance at the office in Amsterdam when activities require it.

Your profile

You have strong stakeholder management skills and are capable of translating complex subject matter to the context of the business. You enjoy using your expertise to advise stakeholders within the business and strive for continuous improvement. You take ownership and are able to identify and execute the steps required to resolve any issues and have a ‘can do’ mentality. You thrive in a changing organisation and make connections by building bridges and bringing others together, you enjoy working together in a team. We are looking for a professional with work experience in Banking. If you think your profile fits this list we are looking forward to meet you:

  • Academic education or comparable work experience
  • Relevant work experience in the transaction banking domain and specifically with regulatory and non-financial risk topics.
  • Strong advisory skills, able to bridge the gap between subject matter and practical application
  • Organisational sensitivity
  • You are a team player and proactively work together with others to achieve goals
  • You have great stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent communication skills. Fluent in both Dutch and English
  • Knowledge of transaction banking products
