
IT Engineer
At a glance
We are looking for a pro-active IT engineer to strengthen our team on the Ops side of DevOps. Bring your passion for system availability, performance, and for keeping the service up-to-date with you. We will need it to optimally deliver a crucial piece of our Basel regulatory reporting agenda. In time, you will be able to move to a complete IT engineer with a larger DevOps contribution.
Your job
Together with your colleagues your key responsibility will be in the context of a timely delivery of datasets to create ABN AMRO’s regular reports for the Dutch Central Bank (DNB) and the European Central Bank (ECB). Good data quality, completeness and accuracy of the data is of high importance in this process. Your on-going hunger for continuous improvement and helping with the full Ops delivery of the service will be much appreciated.
Working environment
You will be working in one of the 4 DevOps teams in the Basel chain, in which you will focus mainly on the OPS/Run tasks at hand. Together with the Ops colleagues of the other teams you are responsible for the monitoring of and communication about the monthly Basel Run and the issues that occur.
Your profile
You are a great candidate to become our new colleague, if you meet the following description:
- A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or working and thinking level
- Able to work under pressure and good time-management skills
- Pro-active and with a sense of ownership; you build it, you run it, you own it
- Experience with SQL and Excel
- Able to manage incidents and problems in a process-oriented way
- Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
- Supportive
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Ambition and drive to constantly improve yourself and your skillset
- Experience with DevOps, Agile way of working
- AZ-900 and/or ITIL4 Foundation certification is a plus
- Knowledge of Dutch language is a plus
