Product Strategy Consultant

At a glance

The Product Management & Strategy team within Markets supports the Markets Product Unit (FID, FX, ECM and DCM) and the MT Markets with strategic, business, project and change management across the Markets value chain and /or subject to NDA or confidentiality. As part of becoming a Product Unit within the ABN AMRO organisation structure, the team is also responsible for product management, including the Product Approval and Review process, information- and portfolio management. The team, together with the stakeholders involved, provides (integrated) advice with regards to decision-making, draws up new product propositions, design and implementation proposals and implements strategic changes within the Markets organization. The team participates on behalf of Markets in bank wide (strategic) projects that go beyond Markets.

Your job

As a Domain Expert (Strategy & Business Proposition) you support the business with strategic and management decisions. You keep an overview of the connection with other areas of expertise and prepare decision making, provide (integral) advice and propositions, and prepare design and implementation plans to execute the strategic change. You are client focused and have a solid understanding of the strategy of the bank and assist in translating this to the Markets strategy.

As part of the new Product Management capabilities you support the Markets business with Product Development, Approval and Reviews.

Working environment

The Product Management & Strategy team is part of Product Strategy, Management and Control. This unit includes the Markets oversight, development and control functions. The Product Management & Strategy team consists of 7 Domain Experts. The team looks after all products in scope of the Markets Product Referential, and has a global scope. In this role you will report to the Head of Product Management & Strategy and Regulatory Management. The team is located on the Dealing Floor in the Gustav Mahler building in Amsterdam.

Your profile

You enjoy exploring business opportunities and contribute to the banks strategy with a focus on financial markets. This role is an ideal combination of thinking and execution. Your work has a direct impact on business, products and our clients! You do not have to be a 100% fit for the role yet. However to be successful, drive, ambition, learning agility and potential are key! We are willing to invest to get you up a and guide you through the fascinating world of financial markets. Our ambition is to get you up ans running as soon as possible by training you on and off the job.

• A minimum of 5 years relevant work experience in a consultancy role and/or product development /management role
• A genuine interest or experience in Financial Markets
• Confident consultant, comfortable communicating with our stakeholders
