At a glance

Loan Syndicate helps the large corporate clients of ABN AMRO meet their financial goals via the right type of loan financings. This highly motivated team works closely together with the Loan Origination, Leveraged Finance and Project Finance teams and assists clients by providing on-market terms & conditions for syndicated loans on the back of inter alia a thorough assessment of expected lending appetite from loan market participants. The team has direct access to a wide range of bank lenders and institutional investors and is in touch with latest syndicated loan market developments on a daily basis. This allows for immediate, value-added input whenever our clients require market updates or a loan financing, which can be underwritten as well as best efforts transactions. Additionally, the team assesses available market liquidity for secondary buying and selling of loans. Furthermore, the team is responsible for seeking and binding corporate credit risk insurance, as well as several originate-to-distribute initiatives which ABN AMRO is undertaking. This ambitious, flexible and highly committed team is part of DCM within Global Markets.

Your job

You will be part of a team of professionals and work together with the seniors involved across the focus areas that the Loan Syndicate team has in line with the overall bank’s strategy: Corporates, Energy, Financial Institutions, Global Transportation & Logistics, Leveraged Finance, Project Finance and Real Estate. You will aid in distributing (the risk of) these mandated loans via the primary, secondary or insurance market. Travelling and/or international dialogues are a recurring part of the job, as a large part of the ‘buy-side’, i.e. the banks and institutional investors to which we sell the loans, are based outside of the Netherlands.
