Virtual Assistant Abby, a chatbot, currently supports all ABN AMRO colleagues on their work related topics. So, not only IT, but also Workplace Management, Human Resources and other topics that colleagues encounter during their workday, This applies to colleagues in the Netherlands as well as other countries, supporting everyone in the language of their choice. Abby's team adds more capabilities day by day, making the Virtual Assistant more pro-active and transactional as she integrates with backend systems to allow more capabilities from within the conversations users have with her.

Your work

The team consists of data scientists, full stack developers and a conversational copy coach. Working DevOps using scrum, you will enjoy the supporting guidance of the team's Product Owner and Agile Coach. We work as data driven as possible when making choices for the Virtual Assistant's future. so dashboarding and data analysis are important topics within the team. The team and its department consists of colleagues of various nationalities who like to communicate openly, work hard an have fun just as much.

We are looking for an addition to the team with development skills (Python) and knowledge of cloud provisioning using Azure. the team works T-shaped meaning you will work on all tasks at hand (dev and ops), while at the same time having you specialty. Sins our migration from AWS tot Azure we need you to have sufficient knowledge on how to maintain our ever more important Azure environment.

Give the T-shape workstyle of the team, your focus will be on:

  • participation in our migration from AWS to Azure
  • build and maintain integrations with backend systems (REST, SOAP)
  • maintain deployment pipelines
  • ensure compliance with company policies
  • ticket resolving
  • prevent and resolve technical debt
  • develop and maintain chatbot conversations (using IBM Watson) and automated testing for it
  • chat log analysis (rotated in the team)
  • give presentations on features we delivered as a team (rotates in the team)
  • promote Virtual Assistant wherever you can within the organization

Work environment

The Virtual Assistant of Employees team is part of the global IT Helpdesk and Digital Support Services team within Platform & Technology. It is working close together with other teams in the department as the User Experience team, the Agents Experience team, the front end Helpdesk team, the MyIT Self service portal team and the Knowledge management & communications team. We are all working with the latest technology and an agile mindset where experimenting, transparency and people are key.

You Profile

Of course you are quite good in these areas:

  • Python (testing, Git)
  • Azure Cloud & Azure board
  • CI/CD pipelines (jenkins, SonarQube)
  • Docker
  • DevOps using Scrum
  • Agile mindset

It would be nice if you have some knowledge on:

  • AWS Cloud
  • Power Bi
  • IBM Watson Assistant
  • AI/Natural Language Understanding
  • Data science

You like to contribute to the goals of our team as a teamplayer. You generate ideas on how best complete your tasks and keep our product future proof and maintainable. The team like feedback on the work delivered and you are also open to feedback in order to improve yourself, you work and the team.
