We work together on strategic initiatives that will enable the organization to realize its goals. While our goals are set, the road towards these goals is full of challenges. As a Consultant you initiate and realize change. You use your hard and soft skills to tackle challenges ranging from small and simple, to large and complex. Every project you work on has an impact that is driven by your ability to combine analysis and action. You contribute to service excellence for both our clients and our colleagues.

Your job

Every day is different, and your role and input will vary per assignment. Initiating, implementing and evaluating are all within your skillset. You keep up to date with trends and developments inside and outside the bank. It is your job to translate these trends and developments to valuable strategic initiatives and subsequently, to concrete advice that will enable the bank to improve and grow. You work on assignments throughout the I&T organization of ABN AMRO and you work together with colleagues from different business lines and functions.

The I&T Office provides innovative digital services. Important functions include IT, Operations, Facility Management and Procurement. Through digitization, automation and process optimization, we aim to deliver digital convenience, a quick speed-to-market and a competitive cost ratio. As the biggest outsourcing partner within the Netherlands, you will also work alongside many of the world’s top (IT and non-IT) service providers.

As a Consultant you may be involved in initiating, structuring or implementing a large change program. You may also work on building a more detailed sustainability vision, or supporting the management team of I&T to prioritize their project portfolio. Each and every project will have an unique setting. In some projects you will take the lead and in others you may perform a supporting role. Our overall goal is to support the organization in making difficult choices, guide complex implementation trajectories and ensure our colleagues are working in alignment towards our shared vision.

In addition to day-to-day delivery, you will be encouraged to take time to reflect and actively work on your personal development. You are in charge! We provide support, but it is up to you and your team to get moving.

Working environment

While you will be working on different projects throughout the bank, your home base will be a self-organizing team of ~30 consultants. This Consulting Pool consists of three Tribes. You might will join one of the two the Management Consultancy tribe (~19 consultants in total). Being part of a self-organizing team means you will have a lot of freedom, but we also expect that you will actively contribute to the Pool.

ABN AMRO has announced that working from home will remain the norm now and after the COVID-19 situation. This means that you will be working from home most of the time. When necessary, it is possible to work onsite at our Zuidas office, or one of the other ABN AMRO offices throughout the country. When the COVID-19 situation improves, our offices will be used as a place for brainstorming, team building and working together.

Your profile

You are an experienced consultant with a track record of successfully contributing organizational change projects. You are adept at translating complicated information into concise, compelling stories. You can identify opportunities for optimization and use data to support your recommendations. You are a go-getter, a critical thinker and you dare to think outside the box. You have experience with strategic puzzles in addition to executing concrete implementations. You have strong stakeholder management skills and are comfortable communicating regularly with your clients and consulting team.

Most importantly, you are eager to realize real change in an organization that is large and complex.

Salary indication for the total fixed income (incl. benefit budget) for this role is based on candidate experience and ranges from €60.500,- to €77.500,- based on a 40 hour contract (36 hours is also possible).
