We are looking for a DevOps Reliability Engineer within the Grid (department) Personal Banking. Within the Personal Banking Grid we work on mobile & web apps for our customers so that we can meet the financial needs in a personal and innovative way. Some examples are the Grip app, the ABN AMRO app and the ABN AMRO Internet Banking website.

Working environment

As a DevOps Reliability Engineer within one of our DevOps teams, you are responsible for the stability of our software and systems. You work together daily, inside and outside your team, with developers, designers and product owners. You are a confident problem solver, eager to find and fix every bug. You ensure that every functionality has been thoroughly tested before the end of a sprint - by you and your teammates. You are an experienced professional, but you are also open to learning new technologies and learning from best practices. You like to be challenged and proactively challenge others. You grow together with your teammates. As a person, you are a strong communicator, and you can explain and transfer well. You keep a cool head and maintain an overview in stressful situations. Furthermore, you are someone who likes to try new things and is involved in the matter. Giving and receiving feedback is natural, and speaking is second nature.

Your activities include:

  • Investigate the cause of and analyse (major) incidents, and take responsibility if they fall outside the scope of your scrum team
  • Draws up business requirements and translates them into epics and user stories.
  • For your daily work, consult your team's Product Owner and anticipate what needs to be delivered in the coming sprints. · Ensure that users can be measured and functionality can be improved after the data has been analysed.
  • Resolving customer issues and being the point of contact for our second-line support team. Keeping contact centre support documentation up-to-date, Making performance analyses, and making and implementing improvement proposals based on this
  • Monitoring (setting up) performance and efficiency of systems. Take proactive action based on collected data, Inventory and manage risks, Automate and optimise tasks
  • Supervising the releases
  • responsibility for the stability, reliability and availability of the apps during crisis/picket services

Your profile

You are social and communicative. You are proactive in approaching and maintaining the relationship with stakeholders. You move easily in all layers of the organisation and can quickly switch between technical discussions with teams and active conversations with the business. You have extensive experience with (coordinating) significant incidents, like going the extra mile, and enjoy getting stuck in something. Experience with the development and release management of mobile apps (front-end) for iOS and Android is a big plus.

  • Knowledge of and experience with ITIL (certification)
