As an IT lead, you contribute to these goals by focusing on Architecture, IT Craftmanship and innovation. Your job
As an IT lead, you will combine working as an IT and Digital Strategist with your role as manager. Most of the time you will work closely with your teams. The rest of the time you will manage the department. This includes:
• Educating yourself and others in the Platform Services & Support department with the right technical capabilities and the latest innovations.
• Mentoring your colleagues on technical craftsmanship and collaboration skills.
• Actively participating in knowledge gaining and sharing by joining triangles, circles, communities and events. Furthermore, focus onproper knowledgedisseminationacrossteams, pushing thelimits of ourtechnology and focusing onholistic and sustainable solutions.
• Properalignment with stakeholders. For example, informing leadership on the alignment you have with theArchitects, Product Owners and Lead Developers on thetechnological landscape and lifecycle.Furthermore you enable the IT Platform for Appian and Mulesoft together with providing standards, guidelines and best practices to the software delivery teams
• Working in a DevOps environment, advocating the DevOps mindset and reducing technical debt as much as possible
• On a strategical level you advice management, mentor your teams and evaluate technical/impact assessments and architecture
• Take care of the HR processes to facilitate all aspects relating to the influx, development, performance and outflux of employees.
• Create and foster a healthy working environment and an inclusive culture for your department.
• Manage Platform Services & Support IT contracts and budget
Working environment
You will be working for International Card Services (ICS), subsidiary of ABN AMRO and the largest Credit Card Issuer in the Netherlands. Within ICS IT you will work as the Lead for the Platform Services & Support department responsible for Azure CBSP, the Appian/Mulesoft CoE, Application Development Services (CI/CD, Tooling) and Architecture (Enterprise & Domain). Being responsible for Platform Services & Support you will interact with all software delivery teams as well as the business stakeholder and product management within ICS.
Your profile
As you can see, we have certain expectations. Ideally, you already fit into them. If not, but you feel you can grow, we are also very interested to meet you!
- You are a strategic thinker and are able to advice senior management in solving wicked problems
- You have excellent presentation skills and are able to inspire and motivate your colleagues
- You are an expert on Enterprise Architecture (e.g. TOGAF) and the DevOps way of working
- You are familiar with the latest open source and Cloud (preferably Azure) developments
- You are able to not only suggest and design solutions, but also able to put them into practice
- You have an exploratory mindset, on the lookout for new developments.
- Preferably an education in Computer Science, Information Science..
- ..Or any Master’s degree combined with relevant working experience within a Digital/IT environment
- Demonstrated Leadership skills and a strong communicator, preferably with a sense of humor
