The world around us is changing at a fast pace and so is ABN AMRO bank with its digital transformation. One of the biggest changes bank is going through, is the migration to the Cloud and the DevOps way of working which brings one of our biggest challenges; how to keep ABN AMRO bank and our customers safe and secure.

To enable -amongst other things- the Cloud journey and DevOps way of working, our security department delivers the right processes and tooling to ensure information security is managed accordingly. We are constantly looking for smarter ways to make digital banking as safe as possible. By prescribing information security standards and providing the right tooling as well as automating processes, we integrate security in the DevOps way of working. Hereby guiding and enabling our colleagues to deliver secure products and applications for our customers.

As Business Process Expert (Security) you are in the Process & Tooling team which is a sub team of the CISO T&E Security Culture & Transformation team. Our purpose is to support and manage the continuous improvement and transformation of the security processes & tooling within our T&E portfolio as well as broader in our organisation.

Your job

As Business Process Expert (Security) you directly contribute to keeping ABN AMRO bank secure. You play a crucial role in all security processes that ensure our DevOps teams can deliver secure and consumable products and applications for our customers. From mobile banking to becoming a customer with a selfie, to Apple Watch technology and paying with your smartphone. You enable the secure launch of these products and services by securing each step of the delivery process.

You are part of an Agile team that brainstorms and provides advise to optimise security processes. You will work together with our first-, second- and third lines of defence colleagues to further improve, support and manage our security processes and tooling that is used by colleagues across ABN AMRO and its daughters both in The Netherlands and internationally. Talking and listening to your internal consumers and stakeholders as well as guiding them through the security landscape will set the basis for continuous process improvements and transformations.

Your day to day activities would include:

• Develop, automate, improve and transform information security management processes enabling teams to manage the security of their products in line with the standards set by the bank
• Contribute to prescribing information security standards
• Train teams in consuming security processes and standards as offered by the bank
• Help teams to fill the security gaps by guiding them to the required process
• Enable them to transform their products and services with a security mindset
• Deliver support on a number of security tools

Working environment

Technology and Engineering (T&E) is part of Corporate Information Security Office (CISO). The CISO department consists of approx. 400 employees and works on the entire information security of the bank. The T&E division is a multinational and diverse team carrying over 75 employees across four teams. In terms of hierarchy, there is little to be noticed as we work together in completing our tasks and managing our responsibilities. Moreover, we are socially involved and committed to the ABN AMRO Foundation.

Your profile

You are very familiar and have experience with process support, management and optimisation. You know how to read and interpret information security policies and standards and have a good analytical eye. Your communication skills are very good and you are comfortable training and presenting to others. You have a hands-on mentality and enjoy working in a team.
You are bold, do not simply take things at face value and dare to ask questions. You are able to entice managers, colleagues and customers with your ideas.

Your profile:

• Master’s degree in Business Process Management, Information Science, Information Security or relevant studies and experience
• IT/Business process management related working experience; 3-5 years, preferably in an IT/security/banking environment
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) in English (Business Language)
• Knowledge of modern development and deployment processes used by consumer technology organisations and interest in new technologies
• You enjoy learning and working closely with IT, Risk, Compliance and security colleagues and understand their language
• Information security (IS) certifications such as CISA, CISSP, OSCP, CEH, CCSP are a pré, but not required
