Your job

As Chapter Lead, you will combine working as an IT Engineer with your role as Lead. About 60% of the time you will work in your own block (scrum team) on refining, analyzing, designing, developing/coding, testing, maintaining and realizing good quality and future proof IT solutions. The rest of the time you will manage your team. This includes:
• Educating yourself and others with the right capabilities and the latest innovations.
• Mentoring your Chapter members on craftsmanship (JAVA cloud development).
• Guiding personal development of the people in your team (8-12 Fte).
• Actively participating in knowledge gaining and sharing by joining triangles, circles, communities and events.
• Proper alignment with stakeholders. For example, informing leadership on the alignment you have with the Solution Engineer on the technological landscape and lifecycle. Furthermore you ensure a current stack and room for innovation on the backlog by discussing this with the Product Owners.
• Working in a DevOps environment and advocating the Agile and CICD processes.
• Hiring of new chapter members.
• Alignment with your IT Engineering Lead, Scrum Master(s) and Solution Engineer(s).

Working environment

The chapter ‘JAVA Azure’ is part of the Grid Consumer Credits / CaRE. The department is responsible for the development and delivery of credit solutions for Retail and Private Clients. Solutions are being processed straight through via several (digital) channels. From a business perspective there are multiple credit providers each fully accountable for the end to end credit life cycle management. While these are in essence autonomous providers it is defined and agreed that the Collection and Risk Enabling (CaRE) processes are not handled by the providers itself but are supported by certain central treatment agencies. This to execute the CaRE processes cross all the portfolio’s which is more and more forced by the regulators.

• You have a broad technical knowledge in frontend and backend technology like Java, Spring Framework, rest APIs and Azure, JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frameworks such as Vue.js and experience with SonarQube, Fortify, Jenkins and GIT.
• Oracle JAVA 11 certified is a plus
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Strong communication skills
• You master the Dutch and English language (business-level, speaking and writing)
• Experience in working DevOps / Agile (Scrum)
