Your job

The ERM Network within Central Risk Management consists of a group of around 75 professionals that are involved with maintaining the strategic risk profile of the bank. We deliver high quality products for our internal and external stakeholders and provide advice to facilitate decision making process. For the initial job within the RRP domain we are looking for candidates with the following skills and expertise:

Knowledge of how a bank operates and is organised;

  • Project management expertise;
  • Knowledge of recovery and resolution planning;
  • Ability to communicate with various internal and external stakeholders;
  • Solution driven, can-do mentality.


As all the risks are part of the integrated risk view, we have a good overview of the total risk profile of the bank. You will be provided with a knowledge intensive working environment. You will facilitate senior management to define an appropriate response to the material risks faced by the Bank. Based on our deliverables we contribute to informed strategic decisions and by that in defining and controlling the Bank’s strategy. The way of working of the ERM Network offers the opportunity to share your knowledge with and contribute to the deliverables of CRM in a broader context. At the same time it offers you the opportunity to learn more about the wider set-up of risk management.
You will work within the Recovery & Resolution Planning (RRP) domain. Banks need to have Recovery and Resolution plans in place to be able to recover from severe financial crises and to ensure continuation of their services that are critical to society. You will be part of the dedicated RRP team that coordinates the bank-wide requirements that are set by EU legislation and the relevant authorities. This means that you will have to deal with a variety of internal and external stakeholders which is an excellent opportunity to get to know the bank. You will dive into the content as well, making sure that we deliver high quality plans to the regulator. Quality assurance, project coordination, communication with regulators and keeping up to date with regulation are your key tasks. Being part of the larger ERM network, there are ample opportunities to use your knowledge to add value in other domains of CRM such as ICAAP/SREP or Integrated Risk Management.

Your profile

You are a team player who is eager to learn and strives for quality. You are able to understand complex cases and can communicate the main points clearly. You are able to switch from a bird’s eye view to your eye for details, and you know when and how to ask for more information. Additionally, you have a good sense of humor.

Check your profile:

  • University degree
  • 5-10 years of work experience
  • Experience in the area of Policies and Regulation, preferably in the are of Recovery and Resolution Planning
  • Affinity with Risk, Finance or the (Banking) Business
  • You are entrepreneurial, proactive, thorough and you have a practical mindset
  • Quantitative and complex problems give you energy
  • You are flexible and able to work with deadlines

We offer a indicative salary (based on the knowledge, experience and potential you bring to the table) ranging from EUR 80k to 107k gross per year all-in based on a 36-hour workweek (also flexible and / or part-time work). A 40-hour workweek is also possible. The salary will be based on experience and we highly encourage equal pay f/m.
Some of our excellent working conditions include:
- 5 weeks of paid vacation per year. Do you want to get away from it all for a longer period of time? Then you can take a sabbatical for 1 to 6 months, whereby you will receive 40% of your salary for the first 3 months.
