Lead Product Owner Data Lineage
At a glance
Data Lineage Management (DLM) is a Data Distribution capability that offers the ability to enable the capturing, management and visualisation of the origins, movement, characteristics and transformations of data as it moves through the organisation across various systems, processes and people.
As the Lead Product Owner for DLM you are responsible for the Product Team ‘Data Lineage Management’, which contains four underlying teams with Product Owners. Two teams work on front-end web applications to give user friendly access to the data lineage data, and facilitate the ability to maintain parts of the data. The third team builds and maintains the ‘Metadata Lake’ and the data model which contains the data needed for the front-end applications. The fourth team builds and maintains the ‘Metadata connectors’ which scan, collect and send the metadata to the Metadata lake.
As the Lead Product Owner for the DLM you are responsible for the above products that deliver, maintain and visualise the data that is being used to give insight in the data lineage and data management in the organisation. This concerns both analytical as operational use cases, and spans across multiple technologies.
The success of DLM will be determined by the ease of use and business impact of the products that are developed, the speed they are delivered, the quality of the code that is pushed in production and the stability of the solutions that you are responsible for.
