Business Consultant Modular Banking Services

At a glance

Modular Banking Services is a new proposition from ABN AMRO to offer banking services 'as-a-service' to other companies. This enables e.g. platforms and fintechs to offer financial services to their clients quickly and at low cost. Our current focus is on lending-as-a-service and forex-as-a-service. These will be followed by accounts-as-a-service and KYC-as-a-service. Modular banking services is built on our best internal platforms (lending on New10, FX on franx, and acounts on the Clearing BaaS platform). We are currently working towards the launch of Lending-as-a-service with a first client.

We need a strong business consultant to help further shape and grow modular banking services. The role is broad and will range from executive stakeholder communication, to market and competitive research, to driving the structured approach of the team. As a great generalist consultant, you'll be able to lead many aspects of modular banking as needed.

Your job

As the business consultant within the Modular Banking Services team, your main responsibilities will include:

• Bringing a structured problem solving approach to the team, including supporting other workstreams in structuring and presenting their work
• Lead the communication towards (executive) stakeholders. i.e. our theme sponsor is Robert Swaak, and most ExCo members are part of the investment board where we guide our progress on a bi-monthly cadence.
• Supporting the marketing and sales efforts, e.g. through market research, and by co-creating client-facing communication materials
• Own the business case of modular banking services - in collaboration with CB Finance
• Lead and coordinate work with external consultants for specific deepdives

Your profile

• You are a strong consultant with several years of experience in high-stakes environments
• You are structured thinker, and are able to dissect and solve challenges quickly and accurately, even topics your are less familiar with
• You take ownership easily, and are not afraid to take on additional responsibilities
• You asupport others, and have a proven track record of enabling or creating high-performance teams
• You are able to create highly structured and 'executive ready' communications (e.g. powerpoint or other visualisations)
• You are familiar with financial institutions, banking and/or fintech
• Experience in B2B software-as-a-service is a pre
• You are fluent in English and Dutch
