At a glance

You will drive the Commercial Finance proposition & IT changes to achieve the strategy execution of ABF
ABN AMRO Asset Based Finance (ABF) has the ambition to extensive grow in portfolio, therefore we need to focus on digitization and be able to continuous improve our IT platforms and introduce new products / offerings to clients.
We are an organisation providing asset based finance solutions to small, corporate and international business clients, distributing our products through omni channel, digitally (providing standard solutions and convenience) as well through personal sales (providing a coverage model for complex solutions and expertise). We need to be responsive to continuous changing client preferences and clients deciding which channel they want to use: digital or personal. So we will devote maximum efforts to build and further improve our automated and digital capabilities, whilst becoming more efficient in structuring tailored ABF solutions. We will support clients making their business sustainable and circular by providing relevant ABF-solutions.

Your job

You are the voice of the client, together with internal, international and external stakeholders and your Value Proposition team (sub-Grid). You ensure that the product(s) portfolio you own deliver maximum value. You sharpen the product vision, inspire your Value Proposition team and prioritize the activities. Together with your Product Managers, Business Developers, Product Owners, the Engineering Lead and the Scrum teams you will drive the (IT) changes to achieve the vision and strategy execution of ABN AMRO Asset Based Finance (ABF).

You will work within the Business Management & Development Department and focus on the development of selective new digital ABF proposition (together with ABN AMRO) and improve the IT (Aquarius) platform You are a person with strong communication skills who knows what is going on within the organization. You stand up for your team and make clear what is needed to provide the client with optimum service. You create sagas / epics, based on ABF's vision and validated the client needs and customer journeys. You recognize the relationship/dependencies between the different products and propositions and see any dependencies with other Value Proposition teams and Scrum teams. You have the ability to make the platform and Commercial Finance product more scalable, digital, more effective, more efficient and less complex.

You will be responsible for the Value Proposition team meaning that you are a front-runner of the strategy execution and guiding proposition development and (IT) delivery, form the center for both the teams and MT(s). You create a shared and supported product vision for the domain, be open and transparent, engaged towards the Product Owners, the chains, and you are an inspiring sparring partner for the ABF MT and internal stakeholders. And you contribute to further embedding the agile transformation within ABF.

Your working environment

ABN AMRO Asset Based Finance, N.V. (ABF), located in Utrecht (the Netherlands), is internationally cross border organised and has operating companies in Germany, Belgium, France, the United Kingdom and the Netherlands. ABF is designed as a subsidiary of ABN AMRO Commercial Banking. ABF provides Leasing and Commercial Finance/Asset Based Lending solutions.

Business Management & Development (BM&D) is responsible for business development in the fields of digitalisation, new sustainable and channel propositions, product management, marketing and strategy & execution. BM&D activities are centralized and we are servicing our four ABF distribution channels: Direct Channel, ABN AMRO CB/Cl&B clients, Vendor clients and Broker clients. Our department covers the entire ABN AMRO Asset Based Finance countries and affiliates with a balanced organized staff of approximately 40 colleagues of which Marketers, Product developers, Product owners, Business Developers, Strategy consultants and Project Managers. The BM&D team is an international team and colleagues are based in all our four countries and have different European cultural backgrounds.

Your profile

Knowledge and experience

  • Academic track record (bachelor/master degree preferred)
  • At least 3-5 years of (Lead) Product Owner experience is a must
  • Knowledge and affinity with Product Management (process / pricing etc.) and IT Software Development/ DevOps
  • You have relevant experience within the financial industry
  • Coaches effectively, engineers situations for team development and draws out the best in people
  • Demonstrates leadership presence, adapts style and build relationships with different (international) senior stakeholder groups
  • Decisive and dare to say 'no', result orientation (end-to-end responsible), but also dare to fail
  • You are a Team player, customer focused and have an entrepreneurial mindset

What we offer

Salary indication EUR 83.848 – 119.783 all-in gross per year based on a 36 hour work week (40 hours is also possible). Scaling based on knowledge, experience and equal pay.
