Your job
As a Business Developer in Our Market Infrastructure team you help us translate the wishes of our external and internal stakeholders to deliverables
Together with the team, you:
- Analyse externally imposed IT changes to assess and define the impact on our applications
- Analyse and define the changes needed to be able to process new markets and new product types for your clients
- Communicate and explain the impact of changes towards a wide range of stakeholders: from senior management, external partners and commercial colleagues all the way to IT developers
- Interact with our stakeholders to come up with improvements in our existing landscape
- Coordinate and test developed changes together with our stakeholders
- Work in a scrum team with a three week sprint cycle using the Atlassian suite (Confluence, JIRA) to track and document changes
Working environment
You will work in the Market Infrastructure Block of the ABN AMRO Clearing GRID. The team consists of around 25 people focussing on developing, running and maintaining the software to receive and process trades and trade details from regulates exchanges and Central Clearing Parties. The team works in an agile way with three week sprints. A Product Owner sets the priorities for the sprints in consultation with stakeholders and the team is supported by a Scrum Master. We have around 8 people in the team located in Valencia and we believe we have up to 10 different nationalities in the team. The team is relatively young and has an informal way of working with each other. We aim to deliver the team goals together and don't like people who are only interested in their own successes.

Your profile
We are looking for a pragmatic and structured person that is willing to work together in a team with business developers and IT developers.
You are:
- Fun to work with and eager to make the team succeed
- Used to working in an international environment - English is a must, Dutch is not necessary. Cultural sensitivity is very important as you will work with over 10 different nationalities
- Experienced in working in the (listed) derivatvies and equities industry - preferably in the post-trade environment. Concepts such as CCP's and CSD's should not be a mystery for you
- Used to working in an environment in which IT is a strong enabler for business. You have experience working on complex IT implementations together with IT developers and preferably have decent SQL experience
- Not afraid of legacy systems and you have the drive and stamina to improve our applications
- Able to work with externally imposed deadlines and the resulting stress and responsibility
- Not afraid to dive into details - you go a few levels deeper than the Powerpoint level and know how to document these details efficiently
