Your job

As a tech-savvy product owner you are driving custom developments and interoperability of our systems to enable value-added services on top of our core Trade Finance propositions.

What you will do:

• You will develop and drive a strong vision: you create and promote the strategy, KPI’s and initiatives
• You provide focus and direction to the delivery teams, ensure MVP thinking and incremental value delivery
• Continuously balance value against effort and prioritize what needs to be done first
• You proactively align closely with all stakeholders: connect, initiate, collaborate, manage expectations, push-back if required
• You push for data driven decisions, implementing build-measure-learn loops, identifying opportunities
  

Tracks that you will be responsible for as product owner:

• Custom development of a Transaction Due Diligence application to support operational staff in performing risk assessments
• Custom development of an application for assessing and monitoring exposures towards financial institutions and countries
• Contribute to the shift towards API’s in our overall technology landscape

Working environment

We are part of the Transaction Banking product engine, in the Transaction Services grid. Our team delivers solutions for (international) trade. It is end-to-end responsible for changing and maintaining the products, processes, data & technology in its scope.

We primarily serve businesses. We are responsible for products that fall under the umbrella term Trade Finance, like Letters of Credit, Guarantees, and Collections. Banks and companies use these products to make trade transactions feasible. Trade Finance helps reduce the risk associated with (global) trade by reconciling the divergent needs of an exporter and importer. Due to the nature of the Trade Finance products there is a relation to many aspects of banking in general, amongst others payments, financing and compliance.

You will be product owner of 2 to 3 (partially offshore) IT teams. Your key stakeholders are Trade Sales, Financial Institutions, Operations and IT. You work closeley together with your colleague Product Owners and Business Developers, as well as with stakeholders to align the direction of development. You take an active part in demo's, Product Owner alignment sessions and stakeholder alignment sessions.

Check your profile:

• University degree or way of working
• Entrepreneurial mindset, with a strong focus on client value. IT is a means, not a goal
• Proven experience as Product Owner with delivery of custom developments on SaaS solutions (preferable Azure)
• You have experience with system integration and connectivity development, specifically API’s
• Experienced in working with IT teams towards technology delivery
• Experienced in Agile including scaling ceremonies and events including Scum or DevOps methods
• You give trust to your team members and stimulate autonomy and responsibility
