The (net)work environment
The Network Department, part of the Technical Engineering department within equensWorldline, is in the middle of a transition from a ‘locally’ oriented towards an international environment. You will be working in this international environment (NL, GE, BE, FR, IT) and therefore expected to align with European colleagues.
Key is to contribute to:
- Ensure network availability
- Delivering End-to-End services for business units
- Supporting business units with our technical expertise
What will be your job?
The Network Run team is primary responsible for ensuring 24*7 availability of the eWl network infrastructure.
As a Network Manager your job will be to monitor the eWl network infrastructure, solve incidents, investigate problems and implement standard changes.
Main activities are:
- Event management and monitoring
- Incident and problem management
- Implementation of standard changes
- Configuration management
- Patch management
- Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
- Implement network changes
- Prepare (plan) network changes for CAB approval and deployment
- Deploy network changes
- Take care of design capacity and estimation models, point out bottlenecks and formulate advices
- Dispatch daily work within the NW Team
- Participate in international projects
- Support the international managers (RUN and BUILD) to dispatch daily work between the team members based in Utrecht and make sure decisions taken at European level will be applied locally
What do you have to offer?
You are a Network Manager that is willing to act in a dynamic, high pressure international network environment.
You have:
- Higher vocational education or work & thinking level
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Network Engineer, preferable in a complex international, environment
- Knowledge on several process & technical network areas as Prince II, ITIL V3, Routing and switching, Load balancing, Firewalls
- You are fluently speaking English, German or French is an advantage
You are able to:

- Implement changes out of office hours and be available for standby duties every 6 weeks.
What do we offer in return?
We can offer you a Network Manager job in a growing international company. This is a full-time job of 36 hours a week. Working hours are determined after consultation with the manager. Depending on education and experience, your gross annual salary (including thirteenth month and holiday allowance) will be between € 46.100,- and € 63.600,-.
