Start your career at the heart of the bank, where balance sheet strategy, risk management and treasury come together. In this traineeship, you gain hands-on experience across ALM, Treasury and Risk, while learning how decisions on liquidity, capital and market risks shape the bank. You will work on real business challenges, build a strong network and develop both your professional skills and leadership.
During this 18‑month traineeship, you rotate across several teams within ALM, Treasury and Risk Management. You learn by doing, working alongside experienced colleagues and contributing to decisions that balance risk and return for the bank and its customers. Your work helps the bank stay financially healthy and compliant with regulatory requirements.
You will:
- support the management and pricing of balance sheet and treasury risks
- analyse financial risks such as interest rate, liquidity and market risk
- contribute to projects that improve models, data and systems
- prepare insights and proposals for internal committees, including ALCO
- advise on balance sheet positioning and translate analysis into clear recommendations
Alongside your rotations, you follow a structured development programme with training, masterclasses and assignments focused on personal leadership and professional growth.
You work with diverse and internationally oriented teams of specialists who collaborate closely and support each other’s development. The atmosphere is open, inquisitive and focused on learning together.
ALM/Treasury manages the bank’s balance sheet, while Risk Management independently monitors and assesses risks. You will interact with senior stakeholders, internal committees and regulators such as DNB and ECB. The teams are based in a dynamic environment where collaboration across departments and countries is key.
You are motivated to learn and enjoy exploring how complex financial topics connect. You work carefully with data, ask questions to understand the full picture and explain your insights in a clear and structured way. You collaborate easily with others and take ownership of your work, while continuing to develop yourself. As a Traineeship ALM, Treasury and Risk Management participant, you are eager to grow in both expertise and impact.
Required:
- A Master’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g. Econometrics, Finance, Mathematics, Economics or Physics)
- 0–2 years of relevant work experience

- Fluency in English, both spoken and written
