Then ABN AMRO’s Sustainability Risk team is looking for you as their next intern!

The banking sector is in a unique position to help build more sustainable economies as every company needs finance. The role of the Sustainability Risk team is to apply the bank's sustainable policies and requirements to our corporate clients and look for new ways to connect risks to opportunities, and to accelerate their shift to sustainability.

With this internship, you will get hands-on experience in the green transition of the financial industry and ABN AMRO. You will take part in projects and company assessments, as well as helping us conduct sustainability analyses across a broad range of industries and sectors. You will learn to apply your knowledge through the lens of international frameworks and standards, as well as discovering new issues in sustainability that you may have never thought of before!

As a Risk Sustainability Intern, you will:

• Assess the sustainability risk policies and management of corporate clients
• Collaborate with our team and challenging our commercial colleagues
• Attend and contribute regularly to team meetings
• Compile summaries of webinars and sustainability reports
• Assist with ad-hoc and administrative tasks

Our teams in Sustainability span across the entire ESG spectrum: from greenhouse gas emissions and water management to human rights, labour rights and animal rights. Our team of experts works closely together with stakeholders both inside and outside ABN AMRO.

You will be part of the Credit Risk Sustainability, consisting of five core analysts and the manager. We are part of the Credit Risk Decisioning within the broader Credit Risk department. The purpose of our team is to assess our clients’ compliance with the bank’s risk policies and help accelerate their transition to sustainability.

We are looking for a skilled and high-performing intern, who will help us shape the future of ABN AMRO.

• You are an HBO or university student
• You are registered at a Dutch college/university for the whole duration of the internship
• Your studies are related to Sustainability or Environmental studies
• You are fluent in English (and preferably Dutch)
• You can start in May 2024 for a minimum of 6 months
