During your internship at ABN AMRO it is necessary that you are enrolled at a Dutch education institution.
As an intern, you will be supporting the team on the critical annual SIRA (Systematic Integrity Risk Assessment) project – which is a regulatory assessment. The execution of SIRA involves assessment of inherent and residual risks for each business unit within Corporate Banking and identification of necessary mitigating measures to reduce the risk exposure. SIRA is time critical and involves an extensive preparation, stakeholder co-ordination and working across topics. While the current team members focus on the actual risk assessment, the intern will be supporting on multiple tenets such as information gathering, analysis, content preparation, workshop coordination etc.
Your Activities Will Include:
1. Project and workshop management
2. Data preparation from pre-identified sources
3. Consolidation of inputs across different documents and updating the assigned tools/templates
4. Supporting the team in making notes during workshops, preparing process flow charts etc.

Risk Control team is the trusted advisor to the Corporate Banking leadership on Non-financial risk management. Our core responsibility is to enable the business in keeping our License to Operate and granting the License to Grow. We manage the Client Unit’s adherence to the operational risk framework/policies and execution of the risk instruments.
Our team comprises of 7 Non-Financial Risk Managers. We are very diverse multi-cultural and a close knit team who are passionate, driven and fun-loving. We prefer a very open, transparent and harmonious work environment where in all ideas and feedback are welcomed with an open mind.
Hard skills & soft skills needed to succeed in the job
- You are a HBO/WO Student.
- You are registered at the college/university in the Netherlands for the whole duration of the internship.
- Your studies are related to Business Management, Finance, Risk & Strategy, Legal studies.
- You have an affinity with (Non-Financial) Risk Management
- You have a flair for data and analytics
- You have hands on working knowledge of MS Excel and Power Point
- You have a good communication in English, Dutch will be a plus!
- Have an experience / knowledge about Power BI will be an advantage.
- You are often described as organised, reliable and confident.
- You can convey information in an accurate and clear manner.
- You have a "hands-on" mentality.
- You are used to working in dynamic environments.
- You are able to start February 2023.
- You are available for a minimum of six months.
