You will become part of the Sustainability Expertise – Risk, Regulations & Reporting team and will provide support on one or more topics the team is working on. Just a couple of examples:
• Keep up to speed with regulatory development which address social and biodiversity risk for our lending activities
• Translating and understanding regulatory frameworks such as CSRD (ESRS), NFRD, EU Taxonomy, ECB Guide on CER and Pillar 3’s ESG framework
• Thinking along on carbon reduction targets for our lending and investment portfolio
• Translate developments in science and demands from society into actions for the bank
• Climate transition or physical risk quantitative measurement, especially for corporate clients
• And much more!
ABN AMRO is a leading Dutch bank, with an international presence, and we are looking for skilled and talented interns who will help us shape ABN AMRO into a future proof bank. The Sustainability Expertise – Risk, Regulations & Reporting team is part of the Corporate Banking client unit and are responsible for creating brightening insights on sustainability risks, regulations and strategy to support the Corporate Banking client unit in its strategic goals and help ensure compliancy in the field of regulatory implementation and reporting. We work closely together with experts from across the bank and also with sustainability specialists from outside the bank to co-create and fulfil sustainability expertise and data needs.
Our team consists of young and fast growing senior and junior professionals with a mix of knowledge and skills in the field of ESG and risk management, regulations and data.

Finally, the team is highly motivated on helping our customers make the sustainable shift as soon as possible towards being compliant with Sustainable Regulatory and be in control of Sustainable Risks.
• You are a Bsc / Msc Student in Dutch University
• You are available for approximately 6 months from February 2024 (the starting date is flexible)
• Knowledge of or affinity with environmental, social and governance related topics
• Analytical at heart: your analytical skills are well developed: you are able to identify, deconstruct and solve problems
• Proactive, communicative and independent: you take initiatives to solve issues and are not shy to give your opinion and to ask for assistance. • Professional working proficiency in English is a must; professional working proficiency (especially spoken) in Dutch is a plus.
• Team-player: you can easily reach out to and collaborate with colleagues, either helping them out or requesting assistance. You are interested to get to know the people in the team
