For this assignment you’ll join the IT Grid – Market Infrastructure team of ABN AMRO Clearing Bank.

Our market infrastructure (MAIN) team we use a few highly complex and dated applications of which one is called ‘TaSC’. As team and supporting team we want to have a better understanding of dependencies in this application. Some kind of visual representation or sort of lookup on dependencies/flows to assess impact if something is changing or failing.

Intern will be given the opportunity to learn about Clearing from different viewpoints, giving you a career advantage. Your main activities include:

• First phase of the internship would be to look at a few options for data modelling and visualization. Compare the potential software solutions and how they would fit within the problem space.
• After the preliminary analysis of the scope and potential solution the intern would commence with one of the proposed solutions. Ultimate goal here would be to have a visual representation of some kind of interactive tool that could be used to assess impacts and dependencies.

We are the team within ABN AMRO Clearing which receives trading data from exchanges/ Central Clearing Parties (CCPs), process them and send it to rest of the Clearing teams. We are the first line of the data process within Clearing.

We are team of ~20 people with wide variety of backgrounds, have more than ~10 different nationalities within team. Average age is early 30s. Team is fun and enjoys working together. We have regular team events and drinks.

Hard skills & soft skills needed to succeed in the job

• You are a HBO or WO student
• Your studies are related to Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Finance, or any other related degree
• You have an affinity with IT or Fintech
• You are able to start 1st June 2023 (flexible)
• You are registered at the college/university for the whole duration of the internship
• You are available for a minimum of 6 months and a maximum of 9 months
