In the Control Operations Internship, you will get hands-on experience in our Corporate Actions activity, covering our day-to-day tasks within the Control department.

Our team in Control Operations is the face of operational governance and our main responsibility is to protect the quality and integrity of our clients’ transaction data. We are constantly seeking improvements for the automation of our day-to-day tasks and creating insights from our data to become a more efficient and sustainable organization

As a Clearing Operations Intern, your main responsibilities will be:

• Performing announcement capture (Corporate Actions) and inputting data into our core systems and applications
• Analyzing announcement capture processes (Corporate Actions)
• Identifying areas of improvements for process efficiency
• Suggesting new ideas for the automation of our daily tasks.
• Participating in and hosting weekly/daily meetings
• Actively contributing to team projects

You will be part of the Control Actions team within the wider Control Operations department. We are one of the three Operations teams in ABN AMRO Clearing, the two other being Client Operations and Processing Operations. Control Operations’ main responsibility is to make our Clients’ business secure. We maintain data in Clearing’s core systems to enable and ensure that our clients have timely and accurate data. We also reconcile all of our clients’ accounts.

Our team is very diverse, with many different nationalities and a range of experience, contributing to a positive and educational environment. Our team consists of over 20 people and we have a very inclusive environment. We are a social bunch, and we like to organize regular team walks, runs, and other social events outside of work.

• You are a HBO, WO, Master’s student looking for work experience
• You are enrolled at a Dutch University throughout your internship
• You are a student in Business Administration, Finance, Data Analytics (and related fields)
• You have a demonstrable interest in financial markets / Corporate Actions activity
• You are available to start as soon possible, for a period of 9 months
• You have excellent written and spoken English
• You have a strong understanding of financial markets.
