To celebrate Women in Engineering Day, we’re inviting you to an inspiring panel discussion about diversity with our leaders in Tech.

Joining us on the panel will be Linda Da Silva, Chief Information Officer, ING Australia; Wesley Naidoo, Head of Infrastructure, ING Australia; Zhilla Noorbakhsh, IT Area Lead, ING Australia and Geraldine Pira, IT Area Lead, ING Philippines. They’ll share their inspiring stories and advice around career pathways for women to become digital leaders, and the things you can focus on, both personally and professionally, to set you up for career success.

There’ll be time for Q&A at the end, where you have the opportunity to ask our panelists questions on leadership, empowerment, breaking stereotypes and much more.

Linda Da Silva - Chief Information Officer Australia
Linda joined ING Australia as Chief Information Officer in December 2019. In this role she leads the Technology, Data and Transformation teams to deliver the digital agenda for ING. Prior to joining ING, Linda held a number of senior leadership roles at Westpac Banking Corporation managing large complex areas spanning Consumer Bank, Group Operations and Enterprise Services. Her last role at Westpac Group was CIO BT Financial Group. Linda joined the Westpac Group in 2008 following a 15-year career in IT consulting and leadership roles in Australia, Asia, Middle East and the UK. As a consultant Linda worked across many industries to deliver large-scale transformation programs.

Wesley Naidoo - Head of IT Infrastructure
Wes is Head of IT Infrastructure at ING in Australia. He has been a proud ING customer and employee since joining ING in 2003. During this time at ING, Wes has held numerous roles in IT operations, architecture, Infrastructure Engineering and service delivery. In his current role Wes leads the Infrastructure departments, leading a talented team supporting ING Australia’s Workplace, Data Centre, Private Cloud and Platforms technologies.

Zhilla Noorbakhsh - IT Area Lead
Zhilla joined ING Australia in November 2019 as IT Area Lead for Consumer Lending and responsible for end to end technology operations and project delivery within Consumer Lending function. Prior to joining ING, Zhilla held various leadership roles at Suncorp Group for 10 years, building new and simplified technology capabilities enabling both banking and insurance businesses to achieve a customer-centric business.

Zhilla is an advocate of workplace diversity inside and outside ING and is passionate about inspiring and mentoring others to achieve their career aspirations and potential at all levels.
Zhilla helped establish Spark’s community at ING Australia which is designed to support and mentor the next generation of woman in technology. She is also part of mentoring panel within FitT (Females in IT and Telecommunication) which mentors woman across all industries in Australia.

Geraldine Pira - IT Area Lead
Ge is the IT Area Lead for Daily Banking and Savings in the first all-digital bank in the Philippines. They are the team behind the Savings, Pay and Card features of ING Philippines. Prior to joining ING, Ge has a wealth of experience in various onshore software delivery projects in the US for FIS and Accenture. Being one of the female leads in the team, she is excited to share their experiences in the Philippines and how women in tech has changed through the years.
