We are currently looking for a Automation tester within Financieren Housing for the Data & Reporting department. As a tester, along with the team, you are responsible for the (technical) implementation and validation of our data quality rules.
DMS team is in the process of migration of the data quality solution which is currently on Informatica Data Quality to Azure Databricks. This offers a need for a challenging tester role within the team to ensure the testing aspects are covered and the transition of the data quality solution across the platforms is smooth.
You are an active member of the Agile/Scrum team with your primary focus on Data Quality software operations and monitoring. You have broad knowledge of software development and knowledge about the business domain for which you work for. You dare to challenge and are open in your communication towards your own team, your customers and other stakeholders. You are eager to improve and take a leading role within the team on how to build, automate and streamline our processes.
As an Automation Tester of DMS team, setting up setting up testing strategies and standards in the team and test data generation are the two primary responsibilities identified for this role. You ensure that no bugs or defects stand in sprint goal delivery. You will be highlighting quality risks. Your role is important because you contribute to ensuring the migration process is to a good standard.
Currently the team is in the process of platform migration from on premises to cloud, you are responsible for formulating test approach until testing related documentation. Your focus is on initiating and participating in a continuous improvement process.
You are self-aware, you know your unique qualities and you know how to use them as effectively as possible. You should be able to T-shape within the team as per the requirement or when time allows.
We take our teams to the next level and are looking for someone who can embark on this journey with us. This means you:
- Setting up testing process on the new platform.
- Build and maintain the automated test framework for data quality processes.
- Collaborate with developers to understand data quality requirements and workflows.
- Execute automated tests and analyze results to identify defects and ensure data accuracy.
- Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and test data.
- Perform root cause analysis of test failures and work with the development team to resolve issues.
- Continuously improve test automation frameworks and processes.
- Document and report test results, providing clear and actionable feedback to the team.
- Create test data for the current data quality set up adhering to the requirements of rules and by maintaining the data integrity and dependency.
- Educated at University level, finished bachelor’s in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as an ETL Automation Tester.
- Certified with ISTQB and/or CAST (Certified Associate in Software Testing).
- Good to have a Azure certificate like Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Fundamentals.
- Good experience on test data generation.
- Proven experience in ETL testing, with a focus on ADF and Databricks.
- Proficiency in Python, Bash, or PowerShell for test automation.
- Experience with test automation tools and frameworks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- You have experience in working with multicultural teams.

- Flexible, creative and taking ownership.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and preferably in Dutch.
