Your job

As a Business Developer, you enhance processes, systems, and tools by translating improvements into value propositions and end-to-end solutions. You help realize the delivery of the ABN AMRO strategy: a Personal Bank in a Digital Age, ensuring the entire bank follows the correct route towards a fully data-driven organization. Effective communication and stakeholder management are crucial to make the product comprehensible and valuable to the organization.

You create awareness through learning materials, publications, and information sessions, and assist in priority setting with the Product Owner and stakeholders. Your role involves promoting change, advising stakeholders, shaping new concepts, guiding data management initiatives, and ensuring performance, quality, and efficiency improvements for successful execution. Be a knowledgeable sparring partner for the team and our stakeholders (e.g. business, DFC, Finance)

Furthermore:

  • Work with stakeholders to challenge ideas and get clear requirements.
  • Translate requirements into tangible backlog in (and related to) Organisation Structure Data (GOLD).
  • Work with the team to realise , detail them out in most understandable building block and keep an oversight on deliveries.
  • Demo results to stakeholders (and/or train users if applicable).
  • Participate in (cross-grid/business line) change projects.
  • Contribute to working groups organised by GOLD.

As part of the Enterprise Data Assets Grid within CDO, you work with Lead and Product Owners, development teams, data stewards, and the Data Governance department to align on vision, strategy, and implementation. Maintaining an enterprise-wide qualified data asset for Organization Structure is crucial, supporting processes like People management, Cost accounting, Customer administration, Reporting, and Analytics. By managing purpose-driven organization structures, you enhance data quality, support compliance, and enable data-driven decisions across the bank.

Your profile

You are a practical thinker, a do-er, whose behavior reflects the culture principles of courage, care and collaboration. You must not shy away from content and being detail oriented yet you are visible enough in your story telling or in your presentations to communicate a nuances , detailed solution to the stakeholders and your immediate development team. This is reflected by your eagerness to learn, the questions you dare to ask and the status quo you are willing to challenge. You know how to handle conversations on various management levels, and know which information you should present and in what format depending on the stakeholder groups you are dealing with.

This is on your resume:

  • Proven experience in data management and as a Business Developer for teams.
  • Critical thinker with an outside-in perspective, creating digestible storylines for a wider audience.
  • Detail-oriented and content-driven, comfortable with visual storytelling.
  • Knowledgeable and experienced in agile methodologies; proficient with tools like Jira, Azure Boards, and preferably Jira Align.
  • Experience or affinity with implementing complex processes.
  • Skilled in navigating complex stakeholder environments; effective communicator and discussion partner for Product Owners and stakeholders.
  • Results-driven with strong analytical, communication, and writing skills.
  • Team player who can motivate, assist, and develop team members.
  • HBO/WO thinking and working level.
  • Proficient in English; Dutch is advantageous for stakeholder management.
