ABN AMRO’s operations are becoming increasingly complex. Within the COO, the Business Process Management (BPM)-Process Digitalisation (PD) department has been established to provide insight and oversight into our process landscape, in order to accelerate the rationalisation, harmonisation, digitalisation and performance of the bank’s processes. You, as Business Consultant, contribute to this challenging goal, by supporting the entire BPM-PD department in the execution of more generic day to day activities, but also in taking ownership for smaller projects with often a bankwide scope.

Your job

As a Business Consultant, you will be part of the Oversight and Support team. This team, consists of 6-8 colleagues and supports the BPM-PD department in general to ensure optimal execution of its activities, but is also responsible to implement and embed a number of standard methods and capabilities throughout the bank.

In this role you will have a variety of responsibilities amongst others:

  • Maintaining contact with a wide range of stakeholders across the bank
  • Organizing and preparing meetings between key project stakeholders to ensure continuous alignment and effective decision making;
  • Preparing presentations and analyses for (senior) management
  • Executing projects within the scope of Business Process Management and Process Digitalisation.
  • Contributing to the implementation of Business Process Management related initiatives
  • Conducting analyses to identify opportunities for process improvements

Working environment

You will work in the BPM-PD department in the COO organisation and more specifically in the newly established Oversight and Support Team. Oversight and Support is responsible for more generic activities, that support and strengthen, BPM-PD as a whole, but also assumes ownership for a number of bankwide models and capabilities, such as Value Chain Management, the Client Centric Service Model and the Product Management Capability.

Your profile

You are a strong conceptual thinker, that brings a hands-on mentality and, a drive to change and improve. As a highly experienced professional, you take an independent approach to your work. You do not shy away from difficult discussions and are familiar with resistance. You have excellent communication skills, are goal-orientated and solution-led. As a result, you are able to optimally work together with your stakeholders

  • You have a strong background in business consultancy
  • You have experience in business implementation
  • You have excellent stakeholder management skills
  • You are a proactive, open and honest communicator
  • You have knowledge in the are of program and project management, agile/scrum, Jira and business process management
  • You have the ability to work on multiple priorities simultaneously
  • You are able to understand complex programs and decide on priority setting

Further requirements:

  • A relevant bachelor or university degree
  • Between 3 and 6+ years' experience in the banking or consulting sector
  • Affinity with business process management., operational excellence and business analysis
  • Proves skills in influencing, consultancy and collaboration in large organisations

We are offering

  • The gross monthly salary is based on a 36-hour work week, including vacation pay and benefit budget. 40-hour work week is also possible. Salary will be based on knowledge, experience and the potential you bring.
  • The Benefit Budget is 11% of your salary. The Benefit Budget allows you to acquire additional employment benefits. If you make no purchases or reservations in the Benefit Shop in a given month, you are paid one twelfth of your Benefit Budget that month.
  • Five weeks of vacation per year. You have the option to purchase an additional four weeks per year.
  • Personal development Budget of € 1,000 per year, which you can accumulate up to € 3,000.
  • Possibility to work from home (in consultation with your team).
  • An annual public transport pass with free public transportation throughout the Netherlands.
