Product Owner Continuity Run & Transformation

In this position you play an essential role as Product Owner within the newly formed CFO Data Foundation Tribe in Rabobank, thus contributing to the strategic finance and risk data and regulatory compliance agenda of the bank.

Make a difference by managing the vision for the Continuity Run & Transformation squads, maintaining relationships with your main stakeholders within the tribe Data Foundation, with data suppliers and consumers, and achieving set objectives through end-to-end priority setting, leading squads in their deliveries.

You and your job
The purpose of the Area DF - Continuity Run & Transformation is to provide continuity & run capabilities and services on the central GFRD (Group Finance and Risk Datawarehouse) data platforms and guide the transformation of the way we operate, deploy and execute release management on these platforms. Your main clients are the feature squads from the data product areas in our tribe Data Foundation, teams that deliver the (data) features onto the GRFD platform.

You will lead the teams to successfully deliver on their purpose, empower them providing clear direction, setting clear priorities and removing impediments. You will effectively manage stakeholders and dependencies with the product areas and feature squads in our tribe and contribute to the wider regulatory, risk and capital objectives of Rabobank.

Top of mind responsibilities

• Together with the Area Lead set and execute the product vision & strategy for the GRFD platforms, capabilities and way of working, synchronising with the Tribe vision as well as the visions for the other areas and squads within the tribe.
• Translate the vision into an operational planning with a 1 to 1.5 year horizon.
• Owning and maintaining the squad backlog and determine the priority setting across the product management/business, technology, architecture and data chapters.
• Drive together with the Scrum Master(s) the adoption of the Simplify@Scale way of working in your Squads.

There are currently 4 squads in the Area which will be extended to 6 squads during the coming cloud transition in which each squad has a purpose and backlog. With you as Product Owner for two of the teams you will work together across chapters (mainly IT and architecture) and with stakeholders in the other areas, in the business and other departments in Risk & Finance.

You and your talent

• At least 10 years of experience in complex environments in different positions.
• Certified and at least 3 years of experience as a Product Owner.
• Sound knowledge of and experience with data warehouses and/or data lakes.
• Sound knowledge of and experience with shared platform management services, including cloud, life cycle management release management, CI/CD pipelines, test automation, monitoring and operational run activities.
• At least 5 years of experience leading multiple technical platform teams.
• Knowledge of finance and risk domain, preferably with data management experience in those domains.
• Proven track record with execution power and stakeholder management; being able to act in politically sensitive environments, with different stakeholders at different levels.
• Knowledge of regulations and impact on processes and systems, preferably in the finance and risk domain.
• Excellent communication skills – oral, written and presentation to explain complex or technical issues for a broad audience.
• Experience with working Simplify@Scale or another scaled agile framework.
• Track record of strategic thinking, acting and implementation.

This is what we offer you

• a gross salary between € 5,115.32 and € 7,307.58 (scale 10)
• thirteenth month's salary and 8% holiday allowance
• an extra budget of 11% of your gross salary to be used at your discretion. Buy extra holiday hours, add more to your pension savings or ask for part of the extra budget to be paid out
• a pension scheme to which you contribute 3.5% or 5.5%
