Where will you be working as a Release Lead?

Fyndoo is on the lookout for a highly organized, proactive, and enthusiastic Release Lead to join our dynamic team. As a Release Lead, you will play a crucial role in planning, scheduling, and coordinating software releases, ensuring seamless delivery and integration of new and updated solutions for our users. You will collaborate with various teams to maintain the quality and efficiency of our release processes. Other key responsibilities include:

Release Planning and Coordination
  • Develop and maintain detailed release schedules and plans.
  • Coordinate release content and effort based on service request backlogs and third-party applications.
Process Management
  • Manage risks and resolve issues that impact release scope, schedule, and quality.
  • Monitor progress to ensure on-time and within-budget delivery of releases.
  • Ensure releases meet quality standards.
Stakeholder Communication
  • Communicate key plans, commitments, and changes, including requirements, QA plans, schedules, and scope changes.
  • Manage relationships and coordinate work between different teams, scrum masters, and Delivery managers across various locations.
  • Publish release notes and technical documentation for our customers. We believe that sharing release notes is a moment to celebrate with our (potential) customers, not an event you dutifully share. You are the one who gets to hand out all those valuable novelties, you do so with pride and joy!
Deployment and Rollout
  • Plan and oversee deployment activities to ensure minimal service disruption. You also ensure that all partners are aware of this, especially in case it happens outside regular expectations.
  • Validate the integrity of pre-release and production environments.
Post-Release Activities
  • You take care of release reviews and make sure that findings will be logged and shared with the product leadership team for continuous improvement.
  • Maintain up-to-date release-related documentation.
Compliance and Governance
  • Ensure compliance with audit requirements by managing and maintaining release records.
  • Implement and manage release processes for code through development, test, and production environments.
What do you bring as a Release Lead?

You have proven experience as a Release Lead or have worked in a similar role within software development. Next to that you have excellent communication skills in English and interpersonal skills. We also find the following important:

  • Knowledge of the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Experience with Agile and DevOps methodologies
  • Strong project management skills combined with the proficiency in using release management tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git, Jira)
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering
  • Ability to manage multiple products, teams, and deadlines
  • A problem-solving aptitude and strong analytical skills
